Ruthless24
Hello Duma army I just have a series of questions just to help me narrow the gap in finding consistency with lag and hit detection when gaming on BO3 with my Xbox One. My Xbox One is hard wire to my Duma but my PC that I use to pull up the Duma setting is running over the wifi when I game, would you guys recommend to hard wire my PC directly to the Duma? I've also been using the DSL test over wifi since my PC is not hard wired to ensure I get +A but would it make a difference if I was running the test hard wired? I also normally play in partys with friends who live local, would that also affect were I should keep the CC sliders vs if I was playing solo? I've seen a few people using port 3074 & 3075 in the hyperlane for COD is there a advantage over using the general Xbox Live service? Finally is there any other tweaks that you guys can share with me that can helped me achieve a superb hit detection? Sorry for all the questions just trying to find some consistency here. Thank you
Zennon
Always where possible use hard wired for all LAN devices as WIFI can drop packets. Your cc settings will still stop your local congestion while in a party. The Netduma user should always be host if you are using the geo filter. You can experiment with hyper lane settings, I have been testing the Xbox one ports in mine.
PharmDawgg
Can't really add to what Zennon said but don't be sorry for asking questions. That's what were are here for and how well learn. Great questions by the way.

But if you're gaming on Xbox over ethernet, the PC being wireless just to access the Netduma GUI won't affect your gaming. However, your ping to the host/server (shown in the graph) will be affected, you will see spikes in the graph that can be attributed to being on wifi - which can make you think that the host/server is not so good when it's actually fine. It depends how low you put the sliders. Gaming uses minimal bandwidth but chat uses significantly more. If you put your sliders too low (or have too little bandwidth to begin with) then it can negatively affect things in a party where it might not affect you if you're playing solo. This would be recommended for consistency with your PC but it won't matter as far as gaming on the duma does. The test will be better over wired always I also normally play in partys with friends who live local, would that also affect were I should keep the CC sliders vs if I was playing solo? no, this has no effect over what your CC should be. CC is to make sure your bufferbloat and keep your connection good even if other things are happening on your network. I've seen a few people using port 3074 & 3075 in the hyperlane for COD is there a advantage over using the general Xbox Live service? Make sure ports 3074 (normal xbox live port) and 3075 BO3 port are both open Finally is there any other tweaks that you guys can share with me that can helped me achieve a superb hit detection? Test your ping times, those should be between 20-60ms This will give you a solid experience once it goes over that you'll not have great experiences with BO3. You should make sure you don't have a lot of ping jitter, that you have an A+ on bufferbloat for dslreports.com. Limit your distance in your geofilter to around 1000 miles, you might also want to enable ping assist (or disable it) it depends on what servers you are hitting. Ruthless24
Make sure ports 3074 (normal xbox live port) and 3075 BO3 port are both openSo basically keeping Xbox Live Service in hyperlane would ensure that both ports 3074 & 3075 remain open? Or did you mean another way? I currently don't portfoward since I have an open NAT by having upnp enabled. I want to thank all of you who responded with great feed back I appreciate your time! Can't wait for the next Duma update! Hopefully it's out before the next COD title!

I would recommend the XBL service for hyper traffic as it covers the ports you need for the game.
