Hey guess what, I still lag

Recommended Posts

Im in Australia,PS4, Black Ops. Decent speed, anywhere from 90 D/L to 30 U/L. I have owned this product for 3 months and have tried all your set ups, all the tips, even throttled my speed back an  guess what, I still lag, I still get lag spikes, I still get put in crap lobbies where I cant even move, games where i die and my hit markers appear when I respawn. This has to be a joke right. The only thing that even remotely come close to paying all this money is I can geo fence, so no New Zealand or Jap lobbies. So disappointed that what you claim doesnt work for me and from what I read, plenty of other people.

You guys really need to be careful what you claim otherwise you might start being called, as in Australian slang....Bullshit artists

so did I when I got this thing like a year ago, or so. It is not just plug and play. It has many tools to eliminate lag. Not everyone's lag is caused by the same thing. So you need to tinker a bit. I know it can be frustrating but with a little research here and a little tinkering you can get it to work for you.

That is what PS4 servers do. So right there no router will fix bad servers. Second, the game is broken. Third, you could have ISP issues and no router can fix that. Run pingplotter to find out.

oh ok sorry there are so many PS4 excuses. So you saying the Netduma cant work on PS4 because of the servers etc. You better tell the Netduma people that because they market their product working on PS4

I never said that it doesn't work on PS4.

5,436 Total Members here and I will tell them all the same thing. A router can not fix bad servers. The router claims to minimize any lag due to local congestion and distance to a host. That is exactly what it's doing.

Hey guess what, you'll still lag no matter what setup you have.

Netduma optimises YOUR internet connection, it can't control other people's connections. Oh wait, yes it can - you can block Japanese and NZ servers, hence improving the connection for the entire Aussie lobby. Show me another device, any device, that can do the same.

The problem isn't the Netduma, it's BO3's shithouse netcode. Nothing can fix that, except Activision, and they don't give a flickety-fuck about it.

I'm from Victoria, use Telstra cable (115/2.5) works like a champ, who's your ISP and do you have NBN FTTN, if so you might need to read up on how to use a PC program known as Ping Plotter and investigate your connection a little bit mate.

The Router indeed works, but it does take some patience and some testing for us Aussies.

I got it there, BO3 runs like a dream for me, don't believe me check out the vids: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCUlxTX841PMMC9c-HsLyiFQ crisp hit detection and I have more, I just stopped posting because I felt I didn't need to prove more.

If you need help, read the description of either of the two videos and follow the links.

All the best bud.

When you're really lagging check out the other players connections in the lobby.  Chances are there are some 1 bars in it bringing everyone down. The Netduma can't control who connects to the same server you're connected to. If there are some people with cruddy internet or your ISP is congested at that time of day no router will help you. when a lot of people in your area are online they are all using the resources of your ISP's network.  It's a root cause of lag for everyone during prime times of the day. The R1 is made to keep your home network from introducing lag into your gaming and also to help you find lobbies that are close to you or ones you have good ping to.  I have never read any claim by netduma that says what you're saying they're claiming.  The netduma does work on PS4, it works on everything. You don't believe it and that's fine, but you're operating under a misunderstanding of what it's supposed to do.

A couple other people have mentioned you need to do a ping plot.  That plot Modbox shared shows exactly what everyone is talking about.  It's a problem that cannot be solved by anyone except the ISP and the people managing the servers. Using the plotter will help you find out if your ISP is congested, or if you have some bad cabling or something else that is effecting your internet service.  Who knows, you might find out you have a faulty router. There are people here that have a lot of knowledge about how to review the plot and help you troubleshoot.

The router is designed to give you the best connection possible. We cannot control external factors like your base ping or servers. It sounds like your settings will need refining though.

Great to hear you've tried out loads of tips and what not but you haven't yet created a support post until now. I'm sure we can get you sorted.

I'm not mad at you man, I remember raging too, I spent 3 weeks with nobody able to help me to get my connection on point, but I'm not BS'ing you when I say 90% of my BO3 experience is strong, like those vids in fact.

I upped these last night just to show others who still think I'm full of shit, take a look.
