HappyLittleChap
Hello, If you do the following you will be able to get way beyond 500mbits: Select reactive algorithm in "Congestion Control" Set anti-flood sliders to 100% in both directiosn in "Congestion Control" Click "Reset Distribution" at the bottom of "Congestion Control" Untick deep packet processing in "Settings > Misc" In "Settings > LAN" disable IPv6 then click apply In "Settings > WAN" disable IPv6 then click apply In "Settings > Misc" disable link-local IPv6 Few side notes: If you are using PPPoE all bets are off. Use the original modem with pppoe and don't use pppoe with the Netduma if you want high speeds In the latest firmware 1.3.05m there is a bug with device prio and turbo for some people. Make sure it has "Reset Distribution". If you want to use this feature you can either 1) Wait till new firmware is out or 2) Downgrade but that will not have turbo mode and will be limited to around 120mbits Finally do not use the routers VPN feature if you expect high speeds Make sure you're using gigabit ethernet cables That will resolve any speed issues you have. Having said that bandwidth has absolutely nothing to do with good gaming connections so if you need further help I highly recommend following this guide: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=fine_tune_netdumabefore posting for further help. Merry Xmas What's the deal with PPPOE? I see this mentioned quite often on these forums. Should I not be using PPPOE on my R1? My supplied modem for my UK fibre broadband only acts as a bridge so using that to establish the PPPOE connection is not an option.
iAmMoDBoX
My speed is fine if you follow the directions correctly... As for the pages loading slow it could be an adblocker or anti-virus causing it too. It happened to be my adblocker when I first got mine last year. STRATELZ
Hey everyone. Thanks for everyone's help but the problem was fixed. Here is what I did (blind luck, no idea what step actually fixed it): I tried reverting back to an older rev (1.03.4) which did not seem to help Went back to 1.03.5m which did not help (There was a few rev changes actually, sometimes not keeping settings or checking rev) Reset factory defaults which did not help (which changed the IP addy to .1.1) Settings were put back exactly like they were before (based on the pictures I posted before) Changed the default IP address back to what it was originally which messed everything up Figured out how to set it back (which was difficult because I could only change the .88 then one of the lower sections was messed up because the .88 was not accessible) Powered it off and on multiple times (somehow I also changed the wifi stuff and had to sort that out so it ended up having to rebooted a bunch) Somewhere along the way it started working. I am SLIGHTLY slower than before, but I am writing that off as being peak time for Internet use.

If you start encountering issues with the wifi or slow loading webpages, I've found that simply turning my computers wifi off and then back on again resolves the issue. Also not sure if you saw my last post, but don't use device priorities because it is bugged and will greatly reduce your speeds.
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted December 27, 2015 Administrators Share Posted December 27, 2015 I'm glad to hear mate. If you still want a 1 on 1 you're more than welcome. Happy owning!
Moofda
One thing I think that needs to be understood is that once you reset distribution DO NOT touch device priorities after that. If you do it will cut your speed because device priorities is bugged right now. So after resetting distribution don't use device priorities. This is correct. (When turbo mode is enabled, at least for me)

Would like to know this also is there something wrong with pppoe on the netduma ? considering just about every fibre provider in the uk uses it in some shape or form except virgin media I would kind of expect it to work. btw i'm not trying to get speeds of 500mbits I'm just curious as I seen it mentioned allot also

Myst1caL
I believe it is due to using PPPoE with turbo, device prio etc it uses up a lot of the dumas hardware and thus speed can suffer So it should be fine with standard bt infinity upto 40mb or even upto 80mb. Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted January 1, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted January 1, 2016 So it should be fine with standard bt infinity upto 40mb or even upto 80mb. That should be ok. But imo, if you have the option, use your ISP router for the PPoE
Myst1caL
That should be ok. But imo, if you have the option, use your ISP router for the PPoE Using the openreach modem. Tried my best to get the pppoe settings to work on the modem but netduma wouldn't play ball with it. anyway just as long as I know pppoe should be fine with the duma as it seemed to work well on my asus router
