OK it appears I'm good now
I disabled all port forwarding, left UPNP enabled, and switched NAT in settings from Secured to Open and now in COD its showing NAT Open in COD on my PS4.
Thanks for the help, much appreciated.

Well it would be interesting to see NG do a Orbi gaming system. Hehe. 😋

Show me where I “apologized for those that whine” (the words “Sorry” nor “Apologize” are nowhere in my post).
Show me where I “spoke for other people on mass”.
Show me where I “sang its praise for all users”.

I said none of that.  Notice that I say “I” and “Me”.  I don’t say “We” nor “They”.

In fact, the only time I spoke on behalf of others is when I said “we all wish Duma had more say in the matter”.  And I think I was safe saying that, since I’ve seen that mentioned time and time again here.  It’s one of the key complaints I think we can all agree on, perhaps maybe even the Duma team themselves.

The “thanks for putting up with our whining” was a light-hearted joke.  I’m sorry if you felt patronized by that.   Although it doesn’t surprise me, coming from someone who makes a major reach to try and turn my statements into something they’re clearly not.

    Thanks a lot!
When I get overwhelmed with support requests, I try to remember that we have sold many many many XR500's, and the vast majority of customers never have a problem. This doesn't mean that the people who do have problems are just whining though, their criticisms are legitimate, and we're working to fix the bugs that exist.
That said, the reviews on Amazon (for example) are very high, and people are generally impressed with DumaOS, which of course we're very happy about. Hopefully people can see the vision behind DumaOS.
I'm also really excited about DumaOS 3.0. Every single one of those customers will be receiving a free update that vastly expands the capabilities of a product they already bought. How many times has a router more than doubled the amount of features it includes after it's already been purchased? It's gonna be awesome.
Yeah I agree. There are users who are experiencing issues with DumaOS and I don't want to just ignore them or pretend they don't exist.

Ok, well we made the jump from 100Mbps on device/LAN networks around 2005/2006 was when the consumer market opened up for 1000Mbps products. I think I finally made the change around 2007/08. Somewhere in there. My first 1000Mbps product was D-Links DGL-4500 gaming router. I remember buying some cheap Trendnet PC adapter cards for the few PCs I had back then. Then bought a HP Pro Curve 1400 series 24 port 1000Mbps switch that is still in service today.

    What Firmware is currently loaded?
What is the Mfr and model# of the ISP modem the NG router is connected too? Built in router here by chance? If so,This would be a double NAT condition which isn't recommended. https://kb.netgear.com/30186/What-is-Double-NAT
    https://kb.netgear.com/30187/How-to-fix-issues-with-Double-NAT
    Couple of options,
    1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
    2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem.

Hey Zippy. I know we discussed this earlier in a different thread.
I was curious if you were still experiencing this issue or not.

Fraser, I did attempt to reproduce this with my XR450 using same game on xbox. I played 3 multi player back to back games, never saw any problems during the game accept for me being rusty 🤣 All games and gaming were smooth as silk for me.
I'm wondering if ether his gaming experiences are due to ISP service issue, or maybe a faulty router unit.
Would need to test the gaming while being directly connected to the ISP modem and see if bad gaming experiences are seen there or not. Something to test as well, load up pingplotter.com and run some extended testing without the router online then with the router on line to see if you notice any differences or anything.
Did you happen to remove the game from the console then reinstall it?

Might be time for a full remove of the game and re-install. I would remove, reinstall from disk first. Don't do any updates or let the system update during the install. Just cancel this. Let the install complete from disk. Then do updates. I saw issues and other postings about updates during installation can cause problems. I had one game that did this to me once. I might remove any game profile caches as well. Clear it all out. Once the game is fully installed and updated, you'll get your game profile configuration and status from MS servers for your account.
Zippy, is your MCC and Halo 5 installed on the consoles primary HDD or on a external USB?

e38BimmerFN got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in XR500 support 10gb Fiber?
Keep in mind that most current home class routers only support 1000Mbps RJ45 connection rates on their WAN and LAN ports. There are only a few routers that are just now supporting 2.5Gb on the WAN port. Though still not supporting anything over 1000Mbps on the LAN ports. To get full 10Gb support, you need 10Gb support on the WAN, LAN, cabling and PC Network adapter. Most enterprise class routers, switches and NIC adapters are still spendy and mostly  not available or tuned at the consumer level. Remember when 100Mbps was the norm 10+ years ago and the consumer finally got access to 1Gb support on modems, routers, switches and NICs?  Same thing needs to happen again, if the consumer will get access to full on 10Gb networking speed support. When and IF all the Networking Mfrs decide to do this. We're just beginning to see some 2.5Gb support on some home class routers.
I know that there are some networking Mfrs that have 10Gb switches that are becoming a bit more inexpensive. We need NICs as well. This would begin some migration to 10Gb on the LAN side.
Also need to factor in PC CPU speed support as 10Gb speeds would be very CPU processing intensive for any single/dual core or lower PC. Most would not be able to support these speeds. I've got a dual core CPU PC that can't do anything near 900Mbps on the WAN side. While my quad core PC can with out question.
Lastly is cabling. CAT6A is minimum for 10Gb performance.
So there are a few things to remember when thinking about anything over 1Gb speeds. 10Gb will be interesting to see when and IF it appears at the consumer level.

Ok so I just got off playing 2 back to back Quick Match games in H5. Both played smoothly. I can't say the same for my game play. Man am I out of touch in that game. LOL
Saw no slow down or lag in the 2nd game. I backed out of the 1st lobby then re-entered another. Game was smooth as silk. Man I love this router. 💘

    Thanks for letting us know.
Possible that the extender could be faulty or bad FW.
I don't recommend using extenders for high bandwidth needed transfers. There's too much process going on between the extender and router. Wired is best for these configurations and needs.

    Good Luck.

EDIT: Forget my advice, try @e38BimmerFN's advice instead.

Well I believe that if you go into Settings > Advanced > VLAN Bridge Group, you can tick specific ports on the router to be put into the same VLAN group. I just thought this might bypass whatever is slowing down the LAN connection.

I would try this, factory reset the XR and X6 and setup from scratch. Don't use any QoS or VLAN configurations. Smart Connect you'll need to try both enabled and disabled to see if there is any speed changes. Also Beamforming will be a factor. Test enable and disabled. WMM should always be enabled.
What is the distance between the XR and EX? Should be 30 feet to start.
Testing with a extender is not ideal as there maybe some processing overhead when it comes to extenders and repeaters. They are known for some slow down behaviors.
    The X6 supports the following:
    Band 1: 400Mbps @2.4GHz - 256QAM — Band 2: 866Mbps @5GHz - 256QAM — Band 3: 1733Mbps @5GHz - 256QAM
So you need to be sure what speeds are being tested thru which pipe...

Be sure you are getting max or near 900Mbps on a wired test. I know my XR450 achieves 900Mbps via wired. 😁It's too bad the XR700 doesn't. 🤔

Ah ok. Well I suppose we can live with it. One thing I try to do a make a habit of rebooting any EX right before or after the XR if it's in the process of rebooting. This helps to make sure the EX is connected to the XR wifi. I presume if your not at home and the XR fails then the EX would need to be manually booted. 😝

Something you might bring up to NG to see if they can fix that. My EX7700 don't connect to each other. That I know of. Sounds like NG could maybe make a change in EX FW to wait for the main router to come back online before they attempt other connections. Possible this maybe a side effect of having more than 1 EX on the same SSID as well. 🙄

Just to chip in that I use 2 EX8000 extenders and they work great. No real issues apart from one where if I reboot the router and the router tenders are left on they connect to each other. They need a function like the Orbi where they can be told to connect to router only.
