  1. You don't have to use a Flint2 Open-wrt is supported on 100's of routers. The Xr500 can be flashed with Open-wrt.... If it's something you really want to look into you will need to do some research as everyone's internet connection/requirements are different.
  2. I did the exact same thing about 3 mths ago and I have not looked or messed with the flint 2 since... It just works once setup 👍 Like you I have owned the XR500 & R2 and was forever messing trying to get my bufferbloat under control or hit detection in COD was off or freezing etc etc, I was a constantly messing trying to get it consistent which I think is partly due to living in a busy house hold with 3 boys playing on there PC's and streaming etc but since moving over to Open-WRT everything just works including my Call of Duty games. The only thing that is lacking in the factory Open-WRT on the Flint is Geo-location but if you flash 23.05 or newer there is something called Geomate which I am yet to try, until I pluck up the courage to flash the Flint I'm using the R2 purely for the Geo-location. KinGzzy Cake is like QOS for Open-WRT supported routers if you are interested head over to forum.openwrt
  3. I have recently flashed back and forth on the XR500 using Tftpd64 and had no issues. I was that impressed with Open-wrt that i've bought a flint2 router and selling the XR500 hence flashing it back to DumaOs
  4. Have you tried routerlogin.net
  5. Is there any updates to this issue yet?
  6. How are you finding OpenWRT Lupin? I am very tempted to give it a go if its more stable, is there any chance you could link me to any info to flashing OpenWRT? Thanks
  7. Hopefully a fix will be implemented before the XR range is totally abandoned.... It's not something I would have immediately noticed and the only reason I did is whilst gaming online the game would freeze for 20 to 60 seconds and when checking the logs this line "[DumaOS] process '//usr/bin/dpiclass' died restart:true, " would be repeated every couple of seconds. I did mention it here but I probably didn't explain myself clear enough.... Thanks
  8. Can anyone clarify if this has been fixed as I was having the same issue and reverted back to older firmware for now? Thanks
  9. Thanks Taz, I will downgrade to the stable firmware. 👍
  10. I have two PC's hardwired to the XR500 aswell as a Xbox series X and non of them are showing up as prioritizing traffic in QOS. I have tried just switching on the standard classified games and i have tried adding the device and creating a rule but nothing is been detected. The PC's mainly play Fornite, minecraft and Fifa and the xbox is Call of Duty. Im on the latest firmware (V2.3.2.134-dumaos33-rc14) and tried a factory reset aswell as redownloading the firmware but not having much luck.... I have had it working in the past and a little unsure when it stopped working, can anyone give some pointers as to where i might be going wrong? Thanks
  11. I think when you add 28 to your maximum MTU the 28 is reserved for header data which gives you your optimum MTU.
  12. I've just download and setup Beta DumaOS 4 for the R2 so was reading through this thread to try and optimize my settings. I thought you set your MTU 28 above your tested MTU which would make your MTU 1500? Thanks
  13. I don't think SBMMOFF support console or provide .cfg files, It works off a program that is loaded onto a PC and is for PC players only.
