TheJam got a reaction from Netduma Fraser in X1000R IP Forwarding Issues with GeoFilter
Yeah, that's showing up in myip. Thanks very much - going to see if that solves the NAT issues - fingers crossed.

Ahh that's brilliant to hear - a device doesn't need to have a LAN IPv6 address to make use of your public IPv6 address so if you do my ip into Google and you get IPv6 then you're all good.

Try this:
Quit the application/game/client completely Remove device from the Geo-Filter Give PC PlayStation Device Type in the Device Manager (if on PC) Resync from the Geo-Filter Map menu Re-add the device to the Geo-Filter with the manual option Set up the Geo-Filter how you like Wait 2 minutes Boot up application/game/client Then see if it works.

You could certainly give it a try yes, in theory IPv6 should resolve your issues!

It's just very different hardware from a different manufacturer, that's where the added complications come from.

I bought a VPN subscription after seeing some Netgear Duma models were advertised with HybridVPN and was surprised the XR500 had it but the XR1000 didn't. Is the XR500 easier to develop for? Curious why the XR1000 is complicated - assuming it comes with extra levels of Netgear functionality that complicates things a bit or is it something else like the hardware configuration?

Okay no worries, we'll see where the team are at with this.

I see the Dublin server being pinged but I haven’t checked outside of UK/ parts of Europe so I’ll check that in a bit.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I know a few are on our roadmap already but I'll go ahead and add the remaining ones!

A few ideas...
Be able to locally backup a copy of your drawn polygons Be able to locally backup a copy of your Allow and Deny list Activate / Deactivate polygons by clicking them (maybe dark red or greyed-out for deactivated?) Name a server within the Allow and Deny list (currently only possible in the Auto Ping pane) Show the 'last updated' time underneath the RESYNC CLOUD button Redraw polygons by dragging the points (like in the mobile app) Draw polygons around areas you do *not* want to connect to

TheJam reacted to Tua PR in Netduma Whole-Home Mesh Wi-Fi System
It would be great to have everything controlled by DUMA OS for large homes, concrete houses, signal congested or multi-story houses.
I say this because it would be more practical than buying an additional Mesh to connect it to the Router and having double IPs or NAT problems.

I love the idea, it would be great to have an ecosystem of products like this. We are a software company at heart so I'm not sure if this would fit our future plans but it's definitely worth thinking about, I'll add it to our ideas list!

Interesting, definitely worth testing but I've not seen anyone have an issue related to the order of ports. We'd have to pass that onto Netgear but we can definitely do that and see if they can implement it.

Well that's the thing, if you assume it is UPnP on the router causing the issue then port forwarding would almost certainly work - the fact that the console instantly switches the port back seems strange to me - I would expect it would say that it's done it to prevent a port conflict if it was intended behavior. You could try port triggering instead and see if that works.

I can't see how that would help really but it is coming in the next version I believe.
