  1. Another thing, adjust your speed manually and not automatically via the speed test integrated into netduma...!
  2. just in case, if you have a realtek ethernet card integrated into your CM, changing the drivers may help!
  3. Take the test on the ookla W10/11 app in ipv4 By selecting an optimized server, you will get your maximum speed!
  4. In this case it is normal to have lower speeds in ipv4, because the ABB was set... (cursors on always) It's just that ipv6 is not taken into account because it is passtrought (on the WAN) and bypasses the QOS etc functionality that is on the LAN!
  5. Hi, Take the test by disabling ipv6 !
  6. This is the problem with HFC connections, ISPs have succeeded in increasing speeds to the detriment of line stability!
  7. I would say that the best would be to take the one provided by your ISP with your internet subscription and put the r2 in dmz behind! Not sure that you will get better results (throughput speed) with a lambda router, the problem comes more from pppoe protocol which is not optimized for very high throughput!
  8. unfortunately if the saturations are upstream of your home network, that is to say at the level of your ISP's routers, you cannot do much locally at home apart from informing them so that they increase the hardware capacities at the level saturation point on their side!
  9. Having an FTTP line remains a line shared between several ISP users... so it can suffer from saturation depending on the hours! Like adsl, FTTLa, FTTH etc...
  10. If all your devices are behind netduma and you have no spikes during this test, then everything is fine!
  11. Do the test with the cursors (that's the whole point), but indeed I think your line in ul is not very stable (if you are not sending files at the time of the test without the buffer)!
  12. OK I just did a Google search and found this! https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Broadband/user-ID-and-password-PPPoe/td-p/2614319
  13. What is your ISP? Either it was sent to you by post or email, or accessible via your customer account on their web page, or by calling customer service!
  14. Ok, you are on G-Fast (copper line +++) https://download.huawei.com/dl/download.do?actionFlag=download&nid=DOC1000254586&partNo=6001&mid=SUP_DOC&play=1 I know very little about this "technology" because it is not offered in France. Try lowering the ul slider and see how the waveform test behaves! PS : (for information: if your access provider has provided you with FTI identifiers (pppoe), you will probably be able to delete this modem with the R2)... For the planet and your electricity bill😉
  15. Hi, I got fooled several times because I had changed my password or my username during the initial configuration! If you saved them automatically on the browser, try entering them manually to get access to the administration page!
  16. If I understand the netduma is behind an ONT (modem openreach)? And you have configured it with your pppoe or MAC Address Cloning identifier on the WAN part to obtain internet access ...or not... I could see users having this UL result with the R2 on this https test! Did your ISP provide you with a router? Can you take a screenshot of your modem please!
  17. Hi, Do you use pppoe? If you have a main router, the best is to put the R2 in DHCP behind for the moment! Do the test and tell us your result please!

This may be the problem, back to automatic! Also restart the main router! There is bound to be something blocking access, you have to proceed step by step, turn off and restart the devices 1 by 1, starting with the one that is furthest upstream!

Have you set static ip addresses manually on your PCs (network card)? From memory, the XR changes gateway ip automatically when it is behind a primary router (192.168.1.1 to 10.0.0.1 for exemple)...

Hi ! Maybe by using the XR's gateway ip in the search bar! or by cleaning the cache of your browser...
  21. Also don't forget to set the abb to always, if you want the sliders to work!😉

  23. Hi ! It's a good question, the tone of some in writing is just difficult to interpret or to their image..! Regarding your question, it's 2 tests are performed on 2 different servers which could explain the difference between ookla and waveform. Rely on waveform for your connection bloat test which is more accurate!
  24. For more precision : The R2's HVPN will allow you max speeds of 15Mbps ul/dl with the openvpn protocol like the wireguard protocol which allows much higher speeds! "Should you choose TCP or UDP? Among the many protocols available, TCP and UDP are certainly the two most popular with Internet users. TCP TCP (short for “Transmission Control Protocol”) is undoubtedly the most popular choice. To simplify, this protocol guarantees the transmission as well as the reception of data packets. Very often this selection is also referred to as "TCP/IP". The particularity of this configuration refers to a verification system applied during each issue. Thus, a notification specifying the correct reading and display of a web address provides indisputable browsing comfort. This process is also applied when downloading files, for example. Downloading corrupted data therefore becomes anecdotal. In case of unavailability, the user is notified by a warning message stating that the remote host is unavailable. Unsurprisingly, the communication system employed by TCP can reduce the connection speed of an Internet user. UDP Unlike TCP, UDP (short for “User Datagram Protocol”) is one of the main telecommunications protocols used by the Internet. This is part of the transport layer of the OSI model, the fourth layer of this model (characteristic similar to TCP). UDP does not provide any verification when receiving data. In other words, a device using this protocol will limit itself to sending data packets to ensure the connection. This protocol offers communication without delay: UDP is suitable for fast data transmission without establishing connections. The loss of individual packets only affects the quality of the transmission. Streaming enthusiasts or gamers may prefer this solution. On the other hand, the “stability” of the targeted address is essential here. Otherwise, multiple error messages (see total inaccessibility of the URL or service) can reduce browsing comfort. Some articles also mention hacking attempts made from the Steam platform. In short, UDP makes it possible to optimize the connection speed to the detriment of a verification of the data packets and therefore of security. 25. Is there any reason you no longer have access, the XR is behind a main router (ISP) or other devices? Have you tried restarting all the machines upstream? You are at Free (ISP)! How did you configure your freebox?
