  1. As long as you set the speeds you expect it won't be affecting you at all - it's like driving to two destinations, one destination is close so it only takes you 5 minutes to get there, the other is further away, it takes you 20 minutes. It doesn't mean your car is slow or under performing, it just means the distance is longer. It could change at any time, I don't have that information to give you, we use measurementlabs for the test, it will decide at the time.
  2. It's probably Steady Ping, disable it then try again
  3. If you can't get in then yeah, this address http://192.168.77.1/cgi-bin/logs.txt should give you access to the logs
  4. I've given you Early Access, please upgrade to that firmware and see if it helps https://forum.netduma.com/forum/151-netduma-r3-early-access/
  5. Okay that's fine then, spending time trying to determine why the search ping starts higher when you get a game lower than that has no real benefits as it's not your actual ping
  6. Nothing jumps out at me there, could you get the logs before you reboot next time? Some information may have been lost
  7. Okay please do a factory reset - hold the reset button for 30 seconds, then wait 4 minutes before accessing the interface, then see if it happens again please. If it does please get the logs from here (it should allow you to access this) http://192.168.77.1/cgi-bin/logs.txt
  8. Are you thinking we control the available servers? We don't, we're a router, we have nothing to do with the servers the game uses, that's up to the developers/publishers of the game - the router simply shows you the servers that are available and what you can connect to. If you have an issue with the amount of servers the game has then that is something you'd have to complain to them about. I can't know if you've done everything or not, you've had the router a month so there are certainly different things that could have been missed or that need to be done etc, I have to exhaust all possibilities. It may well be a bug, I've seen a small handful of people that have had it but it has come back after awhile. Okay so, if you've tried a different outlet with our power cable, please try with a different power cable just to be certain it isn't a power issue.
  9. If it was fine then nothing changed then almost certainly it's due to the holidays - the usual peak time congestion you'd get with your ISP will become more prevalent over longer periods of time as people take time off for the holidays, likewise server load for the games you play will increase as well and so that could be it. Play direct to your ONT, you'll have no devices on your network that could affect you so it'd just be the ISP and game that are factors, if you experience the same issue then one of them will be the cause. If it's the game the only thing you can do is force servers you wouldn't normally, their ping may be higher but it may also be more stable.
  10. What is the error you're seeing exactly?
  11. That's your ping to that server, it doesn't mean that your ping to games etc will be that high or low, it's just to that specific server. If it's way off then you can just ignore it, any changes it makes to improve that ping will still apply/benefit your connection. It will not be the cause of jitter for your games, that'll be for other reasons - what is the ping you're seeing in game/on the Geo-Filter? MAC address doesn't have anything to do with that so changing it won't make a different. It's not possible to change the server that is used - it's whatever the service we use deems to be the closest, I don't know what specific server that would be for you.
  12. I've responded to you there
  13. For whatever reason, your PA setting isn't catching any servers that it can allow so either the game servers are under load (likely) and so you need to raise the ping more to compensate or you have some traffic on your network causing your ping to rise, in which case adjusting Congestion Control should eliminate that and bring your ping down for it to catch something.

  15. It looks as though you may be new so you may not be aware: "for Nighthawk Pro Gaming routers, we have some more unfortunate news: as things stand, DumaOS 4 will not be coming to these units. As you can probably tell, it has been a challenge getting these models onto DumaOS 3.3, for reasons outside of our control." it's more of a public firmware at this point - it would have been by this point under normal circumstances. That is true, I was referring to the install issues you had though, I would think that if it took someone 2-3 hours for a 10 minute upgrade that they would mention it, like you have. I know it's not a smooth install - upgrading to a specific firmware first then to the final one isn't ideal and if that doesn't work upgrading to a different one and then the final one is worse but given the circumstances I mentioned that was the only solution. My point being, that was your install experience and I'm glad you've shared it, however implying as though everyone will experience that is what I disagree with because it certainly hasn't been for all the people that have done it and commented. I'm not going to dissuade people from installing a firmware that a small handful of people have had a specific issue with, issues can exist for some people and not exist for others and we have to try and fix it for those who experience it. Anyway, I wasn't and won't argue with you, all I was saying was thank you - thank you for providing the method for you that worked while also providing a disclaimer essentially for others that it isn't necessarily something that will happen to them based on one persons install experience. You're frustrated, I get it, it wasn't an attack on you but a PSA for everyone else.
  16. Not a specific video no - so it starts the search at 66 but you do end up with a game where the in game ping is similar to what the Geo-Filter shows?
  17. You have a tiny radius that covers no game servers, you'll need to cover a game server and then it should work fine
  18. I'll chase them and see where they're at with it
  19. No not currently, keep an eye on Early Access for any updates
  20. I'll chase again - the team have to prioritize the games they work on so sometimes ones like this will take longer to get supported
  21. Disable the Geo-Filter before you launch the game, does it work first time without the error then?
  22. Okay gotcha, thanks do keep us posted! No worries at all.
  23. It's not a plug and play router really, to get the most out of it settings should be optimised. Could you try the above, port forwarding on and UPnP off please?
  24. What is that socket? I'm not familiar with it. Are you using the power plug we provided you? He can do that because there are multiple servers in the US. You cannot because there is only one server in Brazil.
  25. I've removed you and re-added you, please see if that works
