DSL Reports speed tets

Sounds like exactly what it says that the download rate dropped very suddenly. Repeating the test did you get it every time or was it just a one off?

My modem is a TC-7610, repeating the test I get the same error. I switched to differents browsers and it's the same error. No wireless connection.

I am not sure if this is your case but I know I was having issues with my antivirus interfering with my test. Just spit-balling though.

My tests were fine until I switched modems, I don't have antivirus on my computer, I also don't believe in antivirus. Lol.

That's weird because the 7610 is used by quite a few on this forum without this issue.  Must be something else we're missing or maybe a bad modem.

Actually, this one is my third one in two days. I know I do a speed test from my other desktop.

Have you tried resetting to factory settings in the back of the router with a pin after it resets after choosing "Factory Reset" in the misc. settings?

Also trying one step at a time, checking speeds with it directly wired to modem first, then plugging it back into the router, rebooting the router, to get the new assigned ip of the netduma.

or you could take it a step further, as it wouldn't hurt to try is changing the mac address of the duma in the WAN settings to that of your PC when you check the mac address of your PC when its directly connected to the modem with command prompt, ipconfig /all get the mac and input that into the Netduma Wan settings and see if that might work.

Sometimes off the wall things seems to be somewhat of a thing with the Duma, until next firmware is established.

I did a factory reset on my computer, I reinstalled Firefox, Chrome browsers and still got the same error, but then I tried  Microsoft Edge and boom! no more error. So I don't know what is going on with those two browsers right now.

I don't know as the problem does happen to me as well.

Example: I have adguard as my anti-virus on my system. When it's turned on, and I do speedtests on dslreports. My upload would skyrocket way above my ISP package plan. But if I disable t and re-do the speedtest. It's normal, and this is using chrome.

Also, I do get different bufferbloat results with Chrome, Edge, and Firefox. Edge does seem to give a better result. Could be chrome using extensive load on your PC since each tab is another load on it, compared to Edge. Firefox does a little same but Firefox sometimes a bit more reliable, all could just come down to the CPU really and how the browser utilize it.

I get the same error on occasion,I just close DSL and re open it and it fixes the issue. My guess is it's something to do with anti-virus or pop up blocker, ad blocker etc.

Or could be an issue on DSL's end and they got it sorted already.

Now the one that is misbehaving is the Edge browser.
