Paddee1987 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 all controllers have fully remap-able paddles and the slightly taller xb1 analogue sticks let me know what you think.
cranium2001 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I love your paint jobs or dips or whatever they are called.
Ian88 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Is it just the cosmetics you have done? Or have you fitted paddles and stuff?
Paddee1987 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 Thanks for the responses. I have done the whole lot. Stripped to bare shell painted then dipped. Soldered chips to remap the buttons to the paddles. The paddles are pre cut I've just heated them up carefully to bend and shape them to the back of the controller.
Paddee1987 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 This one is a different board to the other one. This is the latest revision circuit board
Ian88 Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Brilliant.. Now stick a brand and price on them and you have a business my friend lol
Paddee1987 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 It'd more of a hobby at mo. Sorting out clan mates with them etc. But I am looking to start doing them in new year
major masingil Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Sweet work Paddee. How many hours does it take you to customize a controller? Where did you come up with the part numbers for the remappable switches and paddles? I've been thinking about experimenting with one of my controllers just for kicks.
Paddee1987 Posted December 8, 2015 Author Posted December 8, 2015 the first one took a while coz i kept fucking the dip on the back shell had to redo it 3 times. but the last two took me 4 hrs to do both. the time consuming bit is the prep and painting and dipping of the part. then you have to clear coat over it. the only way of checking what revision you have got is by opening up the controller and seeing what it says ob the circuit board.
Dillinger Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 It'd more of a hobby at mo. Sorting out clan mates with them etc. But I am looking to start doing them in new year When you are ready to start building to suit, hit me up. I have interest in a custom built model for big guy hands and I have some thoughts. When you get to the point of taking on external work, I am definitely interested. JD
