BENORMOUS
So I have fibre pro with sky 80/20 so as advised I'm using reactive, well the last week or so I've been setting my download slider to 30 and upload to 75 as it's seemed to play really well and I managed A+ on both on the bufferbloat test, last night I kept things just like that but selected the preemptive algo and my bullets registered way better than normal,so am I right in believing that if I'm throttling my connection to under 50mb should I be activating pre emptive anyway?though Id ask as there may be a few others who this could come in helpful too. Just like to add that I've had the netduma for a year now and still today I'm learning new things about this bit of kit so if you are having issues getting the best out of it be patient you're time will come it's all about finding that sweet spot which I've certainly found with BO3
Omega
Could you enlighten me as to what the bufferbloat test is?
fuzzy clam
It's a test the checks your buffer bloat, quality and speed. Use your CC to control the buffer bloat (network congestion a Z would say) and I find that 70/70 seems to work well for BB and quality but speed will suffer as your sliders are set at 70 % of your speed but the speed is the last thing you should worry about. dslreports.com/speedtest
Zennon
Use your CC to control the buffer bloat (network congestion a Z would say) Local network congestion so other users or even yourself streaming / downloading or web pages opening images etc on your network. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 24, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 24, 2015 On reactive algorithm putting it to 30% is still capping to 30% of your available i.e. 80. So you would keep it on reactive. Putting it on preemptive your max speeds are lowered as you won't be able to get over ~50mbps with it on even with sliders at 100%. So then by doing that and then lowering them to 30% its then 30% of ~50mbps instead if that makes sense.

Just because the instructions tell you a certain way to get your speeds doesn't mean it will be best for gaming. Go with pre emptive when playing and if you want your full speeds enable reactive after playing.
BENORMOUS
I here ya brother.preemptive has been silky smooth for me mate so I'm staying with it,as for speed I don't download heavily maybe one or two films a week off torrents where you don't get you're full bandwidth anyway so it's staying preemptive I'm very happy lately I thought Id have way more issues with blops3 but all good in the hood
