BL4CK OPS V3TRN
I have seen a couple of mis informed you tubers suggesting DUMA users are cheating . Extremely annoying , yes we find better connections but everybody in the lobby has the connection if I am not mistaken . In the main my experience has improved a lot but you if you ain't that good you still get a kicking . The difference is you know you have been beaten or killed by a more skilful player not a bendy bullet or similar we have all experienced pre Duma . Any DUMA boys or girls with YouTube channels need to correct these muppets !!

Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted February 10, 2015 Netduma Staff Share Posted February 10, 2015 Hmmmm, thats stupid. Its not cheating. I don't know which video you watched, but the one that I saw by TheMandyCabbage was a bit weird, because he was making comparisons that were totally unrelated. He says that is blocks people from joining you if you are host, but you have done them a favour, right? You set your GeoFilter to a distance that you consider a maximum distance. So blocking people from outside of the range only means you are stopping them from getting a possible lag game. The game is MEANT to run as smooth and as lag free as possible. It is not meant to be abused by rapid fire controllers like he made a comparison to. The Netduma makes the play how it is meant to play, with no lag. All you are doing is improving your experience, and if you are host, you might be improving the experience for some other players as well by stopping them connecting to you. I assume this is the video you were talking about, because I couldn't find any other anti-netduma videos. To be fair to the guy who made it though, he was very clear that he wasn't calling Netduma users cheaters, he was just putting it out there that people that use it could be considered as cheaters, which I disagree with
Adam
Type of youtuber who makes these type of videos are the ones who will jump on a bandwagon as they see it as something that gets them views and engagement just leave em too it i say
Vileself
I had a talk about this with a friend a few days ago. The way I like to put it is that in order to be cheating we would have to be giving ourselves an advantage somehow. With the R1 we aren't giving ourselves an advantage we are just removing a disadvantage, which is lag.

With the R1 we aren't giving ourselves an advantage we are just removing a disadvantage, which is lag. And just to add on, it seems from my experience that the whole lobby benefits when I use my R1. I never go up in a lobby with a god connection. It usually just seems fair and no one is lagging severely.
AFF
i sometimes think people say things like this as they just cannot afford to buy it so they just want to slate it

A7Legit
Allow me to ask, if I play racing games like Forza/Gran Turismo and instead of my controller I use a steering wheel, am I cheating? NO! If these people crying cheat had the geo-filter feature available on their router when they purchased it, they'd not be saying it is cheating and that is the issue here. They're mad they don't have the R1.
Elikenui
With the R1 it's actually quite the opposite of cheating, it makes the game more fair. The connection works both ways, it's not just a one-way advantage. With a better connection, opponents shots register on you better too. All the R1 is doing is helping to decrease the artificial handicap that lag creates, a handicap that shouldn't be in the game to begin with if the matchmaking system wasn't so bad. If you suck at the game, you'll still suck with the R1, just not because it's lag bringing you down.
fuzzy clam
It's a classic case of the have not's bitching about the have's.This is the way it's always been and the way it will always be.People are always telling me i'm anti social and i tell them i'm socially selective, there's a difference and a reason
II Z IE IR O II
ahhhh! They're just JEALOUS because they can't afford to buy one! I'm pretty sure if they could, they would jump INSTANLY on the R1 bandwagon! Is it my fault that they didn't pay attention in school and get a good job? No! Frick them! faulko
So we are cheaters because we forked out money from our own pockets for a device that does something online games should already do? Bwhahhahahahhahahahahhaha
Dillinger
This comes up all the time. No matter what you are doing, if it's different = it's cheating according to the online "gaming" community. My personal belief is if no one was making money off CoD, or other games, via YouTube and streaming services like Twitch, the "NEED" to have these monster games would be greatly reduced. Everyone thinks they are going to be the next Ali-A, or PewdiePie, and that is going to start with their very next game. Now, when you have kids who are "pro" type players, like FaZe Rain and Scumpi, who didn't graduate high school and have large, prosperous followings on social media, you set an unfair example that anyone can do that. "I'm going to make a big living playing video games". Well, maybe you are and maybe you aren't, but going 20-2 in your next pub lobby isn't going to do it for you. So the bar is automatically set at unrealistic levels. Remember all the drama around who was going to get the first 100+, the first 150+, the first 200+ kill games of Black Ops 2? You had people with large scale YT followings, having kids sign up to run constant UAV for them, or sign up to be a no-thumbs-dier, just to achieve a score everyone knew was BS. But that became the gold standard. If you couldn't do that level of slaying, your viewership would be a small handful of realists and a bunch of haters. There is a video from one of the best pros in the game, Crimsix, where he goes something like 99-7 in a hardpoint game on a DLC map. (YT trick, delete your DLC packs to get easier lobbies). He drops like (3) swarms and people were like "That's all you got Crim?" *yawn* So on one hand you have unrealistic expectations of what a "good" score should be, and on the other, you have people who couldn't find their way to that promised land with months of intense training and all the best products. And then jealousy creeps into the equation.....
