Alex
Hi Duma Team, Is there anything we can to do to try and reduce ping? I have a 60 down 4 up connection. I'm using the Reactive setting and have implemented the bandwidth into the Duma. Here are my test results:
BENORMOUS
It's all down to you're isp mate, the duma has no control over youre ping only when keeping you local and on a low ping host
Od1n
your copper wire to the distribution point is just too long, you cannot get rid of that unless you switch to a faster lane (vectoring on copper or fiber) or your ISP decides to built more distribution points near your place changing the ISP might also work if they have their own lanes and dont purchase them from a different ISP
Alex
Thanks for the responses guys. I have Charter in my area with no other ISP to switch over to that will give me high speeds. Looks like I'm stuck!

Zennon
In the UK we have fast path (no error correction) & Interleaved (error correction for lines that drop or have many errors) There are different depths of interleaving from adding 8ms all the way up to adding 24ms and higher. You could ask if your line has interleaving and if so have it removed. In the UK we could ask for it to be removed on ADSL but now on fibre we can not. They have brought in G.inp recently here which corrects on the fly only when the error happens which makes us have fastpath/G.inp lines which is a god send for gamers. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 11, 2015 Administrators Share Posted November 11, 2015 As others have said this is ISP related, you can call them and ask to help out with this and collect as many results as you can during different times of the day
