Blops 3 2.7 GB patch for PS4

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, due for release in the UK on Friday 6 November, will have a hefty day one patch that will have to be downloaded to fix "security and stability" issues on launch day.

According to one user on the NeoGAF forum, the patch is 2.7GB for PlayStation 4.

PlayStationLifestyle also reported that the patch weighs in at 3GB on Xbox One, and 8GB for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

 

The article says that the patch can be downloaded before you pick up a copy of the actual game but I cannot find it anywhere in the PS store

Users who downloaded the digital it should auto download.

DOH!!! Ill be standing in line with all the other nerds at midnight. Looks like it may take a while to get first MP games in then.

Is it possible to play campaign whilst downloading patch on PS4?

Well im working tonight and ordered mine from amazon as they were guaranteeing delivery for day of release. so will get up early after work tomoz to play and booked friday night off as holiday heehee.

Well, sadly, I was going to stream the game, but the damn servers are offline! Go figure. It's not just me, either. Others are reporting they can't logon, either

 

So, I'm gonna stay up for a few hours (12:30 AM here in the U.S.) to see if they resolve this, but if not, I will try again tomorrow. You have to laugh and remember John Lennon's famous saying...

Hell yea I'm gonna bitch about it.Only took 8 minutes to download but I promised myself I would take any and all opportunities to bitch about the game...

 

And the gorilla rage set in when I was picking up the game as a really wired (I'm guessing meth lol) gamestop employee decided to grab my forearm.As apparently I was heading in the wrong direction in the maze of turnstiles and ropes to pick up the game,so we'll just say it didn't work out well for said employee.I'm pretty sure his neck and trap area is really sore today...

 

And I ran a few games last night and all I can say is...can't wait to get on the mic with you JD.Did you get the chat figured out with the astros on PS4 yet ?
