PharmDawgg
Is there any need to reboot your router on a set schedule(i.e. once a week) to keep it functioning 100%?
Zennon
I would say an odd reboot now and again is good for any device. apart from my modem i like to keep that on so good old DLM does not get upset.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 29, 2015 Administrators Share Posted October 29, 2015 Hey Buck, no need, Iain had his one on for 6 months straight when testing and it functioned as expected the whole time
Zennon
I am looking at this from an OS side of things sometimes after a good while I have to reboot my phone as 3g doesn't respond or a pc that has been on for days can show OS problems and a reboot sorts it. fuzzy clam
I use to do it with my modem and netgear and I still continue to do it with my whole set up once a week, modem, netduma and my netgear that's in AP mode. I'm not saying it's necessary it's just something I do for the reasons Z stated.

UK_Wildcats_Fans
I find that I have to reboot the R1 and my modem about once every week or two weeks because it stops connecting or becomes very slow. My R1 randomly reboots under moderate to very heavy traffic as well, but this is very rare.
PharmDawgg
I kinda wish we had an error log for the R1.

ByMgRs
I don't think you need to but I regularly do just as I have a dns issue with powerline adapters that requires me to restart everything whenever it occurs (once every month or so..) Tp-link is a really crap company

Zennon
Proof is in the pudding... Today my lad contacts me at work to tell me he cant reach any websites but can use skype. I get home I can ping but not resolve web sites. I rebooted the Netduma and back to resolving correctly.

Zennon
Even my kids know to go reset router when connection issues come up. He had but not from the GUI as I had it locked out and it did not fix from a normal power cycle. It was fixed by a misc settings reboot only. But thanks for that.
