Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 30, 2015 Administrators Posted September 30, 2015 i think firmware got corrupted. Can't access netduma screen at all. need more deeper tech support. probably have to wait for fraser folks Dammit! Lost my admin status Have you follow the link Buck gave? That should get it sorted. Do any lights come on when it is plugged in, lights in the back or on top?
II Z IE IR O II Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Hey Fraser, lights come on and stuff. Tried following the link but to no success. Tries to connect to router but it times out, I can't access the R1 page via web browser. Tried all browsers but with no success. Cleared browser cache, no success. I think you just need to try and access R1 remotely. Also, I have a backup R1, would it be possible to get "admin" status again?
II Z IE IR O II Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 I bought 2 back when the R1 first came out for times like these! LOL
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 30, 2015 Administrators Posted September 30, 2015 Hey Zero, if you can plug in the faulty one, do you get internet access? If so we can then remote in
II Z IE IR O II Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Nope. No internet access. Not sure if you can remote in to router because I can't give you a specific IP address because the r1 won't let me access the UI
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 30, 2015 Administrators Posted September 30, 2015 Okay no worries, can you email [email protected] and we can sort it out for you
II Z IE IR O II Posted September 30, 2015 Author Posted September 30, 2015 Okay no worries, can you email [email protected] and we can sort it out for you I think Luke already spoke to you about this. I had emailed to the said email address already. That's when Luke emailed me back saying that if its not fixable, you'll folks will look into maybe arranging a replacement.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 30, 2015 Administrators Posted September 30, 2015 Yep, I think we'll be arranging a replacement
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted September 30, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted September 30, 2015 Just wondering, is there any fail safe if there is a power interruption when updating or anything like that?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 1, 2015 Administrators Posted October 1, 2015 Just wondering, is there any fail safe if there is a power interruption when updating or anything like that? I'll have to ask Iain on this, it was very unlucky a power cut happened when upgrading, if there isn't we may have to think about doing so

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 1, 2015 Administrators Posted October 1, 2015 Yeah, probably isn't very common but would still be good to have a prevention for it if possible It's not possible unfortunately
Zennon Posted October 1, 2015 Posted October 1, 2015 A ups power supply would come in handy for times like a power cut.
ByMgRs Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 I had something similiar happen to me a while ago, the power supply became faulty during a firmware upgrade I think, but as always fraser helped me and I was sent a replacement. I has been happily chugging along ever since
Taff Posted October 3, 2015 Posted October 3, 2015 It's not possible unfortunately maybe get one of those fancy battery backup powered brick thingys.
