Chaiyoabc
I have it packed in the box due to various problems (reboot loop, unable to connect to UI) I have seen new firmware from both early access and official. Not sure if they are stable. Please do me an honest review
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 15 Administrators Share Posted November 15 The best answer is to try it yourself, people have wildly different experiences on each firmware - it is better and there is more to be done, the only way to tell for you is to try it. It is as if I have been a tester for netduma R3 the whole time There are so many variables when it comes to networking, e.g. I know you're using it in Asia, the majority of the people that post here are from the EU/US, I'm not familiar enough with the variables in Asia that may affect it to give you an answer. You're also asking on a support forum if a firmware is okay to use, everyone who posts here experiences an issue at one time or another, some have better experiences on more up to date firmware and some people swear by older firmware. Your experience will differ from everyone else so there is no one size fits all answer. People that are having a great experience will not usually post on a support forum to answer your question so the responses will be heavily skewed most of the time. The best option is to try the firmware yourself, if it's not working great for you then you have your answer. I could give you a generic answer - it's the latest so it has the latest fixes so should be a better experience - then you update and you have a bad experience, then you'll come straight back and be like nope it wasn't good at all. You lose faith in my ability to provide you with suitable answer and no one wins. If you're really concerned it then have a look through the firmware topics at the kind of issues people are experiencing and see whether you want to take the risk. We will always recommend running the latest firmware version (unless there is a major issue) but I'm of the opinion that it's your router, you should decide what works best for you.
