That helps us and them figure out what’s going on, you make a difference! Thank you Eh, I try man. Sometimes I get short with people that get super rude and I need to be better about that. Not perfect by any means, but if the world had optimized connections all over, the internet and interconnectivity as we know it would be unreal responsive. Unfortunately, ISP's think Bandwidth is king.... High Bandwidth Low Latency networking is where the future lies at man. A video chat or gaming on servers across the world without breaking 70ms.... that's the dream lol.

I don't work for their team but I definitely have a love for networking and gaming that keeps me going outside of work. Technology is my thing so I always try to help and educate. Give them a chance to respond and see what they can do, my router is basically a paper weight right now and they are shipping me a replacement that flys out tomorrow. So here's to hoping I can test the new firmware soon and give some feedback. You're precisely why we choose to have a forum for support, we can't be available all the time so it always helps to have people helping out each other! 11 minutes ago, Fetuchinee said: I’m not sure I understand your question. I was just playing cod and my bullets felt pretty good at beginning and it slowly started to get worse with ping increasing not sure if it was just servers cuz of ranked play or what not but I was like oh I forgot optimize my ping after they put in a new modem so I went back over to duma os and optimized my ping in the middle of the private match just testing things out and I instantly starting packet loss and ping latency up top of the screen in game and couldn’t move and it went back to normal then 5 seconds does it again then again again. Well that'll be why it went bad after optimizing the ping at least - it cuts off the internet to perform the tests. What Congestion Control settings are you using currently (Ping Optimizer > Advanced)? How is SmartBOOST setup? You can disable Steady Ping on the Geo-Filter if you feel as though it adding ping may be negatively impacting you. 8 minutes ago, Fetuchinee said: And can you put me in contact with someone that is able to do service support. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Depending on where you're located in relation to the speed test servers it can give you lower results, set them manually instead. You haven't mentioned how the settings I asked about were set, how have they been done? How have you setup the Geo-Filter? Are other devices online at the team when you're testing? I wouldn't suggest downgrading at this stage, I don't know what your settings are yet.

DARKNESS
@FetuchineeIf your trying to diagnose network issues I would advise you to use pingplotter as it easier to understand what happening in depth in the network to note if you are using TM3402 that is most likely your issue. It doesn't matter if it from your provider you need a modem that does not contain a faulty chip as at any time it can cause spikes it may seem fine for a bit and then the next minute it does not etc. Link - https://www.pingplotter.com/

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 6 Administrators Share Posted February 6 Definitely don't use 100% Congestion Control, it won't do anything. As you've not provided all the settings this will be general advice but see if it helps: Congestion Control set to Always Congestion Control set to 70% for download and upload Make sure you've entered your expected/paid for bandwidth speeds On SmartBOOST disable all priorities and just make one for the gaming device On Geo-Filter set the radius at 1000km On Geo-Filter disable Steady Ping On Geo-Filter disable GeoLatency When you make any changes on the Geo-Filter restart game or wait 10 minutes (in the lobby in the game). If that doesn't work, reboot PC/Console and it should work then. Disable IPv6 in LAN/WAN Disable Adblocker

DARKNESS
@FetuchineeIn short it because only one sole device is connected to the network so it never going to get enough throughput to get throttled however let's say now you have it connected to the router it now assigning IP's and there's going to be usage all around the place from different devices and if the modem can't handle the quick changes in packets then it going to cause issues with the network if that makes sense. Use Pingplotter as recommended to see what going on bud you can also check your modem logs and check if there all locked and or leveled as they should be if not then your ISP guy didn't do a good job as they usually don't...another thing if it your ISP's line then you can use the report from Pingplotter as proof against your ISP that you have problem. Advice is free here and you can be walked through the test on the forum which will also help other users who search or read through the forum. post your screen shots of ping plotter here on a new thread and you will get help. I might be wrong here but I would say you only need to prioritise the minimum so that your gaming traffic is picked up for priority. I have my PC set as the device and then Destiny and Cod for activities. I can see the game traffic prioritised ok so don't see need for gaming activity. Maybe even just the device is adequate.....anybody confirm? Makes a difference?
sasan
The Geo-filter is driving me nuts on it. It sometimes works and most of the time doesn't. I have to delete device and use custom polygons and then change to simple constantly to try make it work. It's so unreliable I hope they fix these issues soon. DARKNESS
@FetuchineeIt depends it better if you post a screenshot of your ping plotter results to help you further. As sometimes there are certain hops that will appear as packet loss but that just do to your ISP blocking ICMP packets. I know it may seem frustrating but it better to learn now than have to deal with nonsense further down the line. I am not a network engineer though I do understand the basics of networking just to clarify. Knowledge is power and others here will help you as much as they can. First should be R3 192.168.77.1, post that and I can take a look to see what is going on. No need to offer anyone money bro, we're all here for the same reasons, support and love of gaming. I was able to get it fixed! I downgraded the software and reinstalled the newest software and factory reset everything after that and that seemed to do the trick. Not sure if something messed up when I upgraded software but the issue seems to be resolved and I’m now able to play the game. You only need to set a priority once/one way, no need to prioritize it in multiple different ways 23 hours ago, Fetuchinee said: I was able to get it fixed! I guess my main question would be does it hurt anything? Like I usually prioritize gaming because my wife and son play other games like Fortnite and siege, etc. Then I was prioritizing cod at the highest level above for me specifically since that’s what I mainly play. Then just for the heck of it put my pc in there as top priority. Would having it like that not prioritize my pc and cod over my sons pc and wife’s PlayStation when they are also playing games? Fuzy
If the game traffic is recognized by the DPI, it will necessarily be prioritized according to the order of prioritization. You can also prioritize all traffic from one device over the other in the devices section to be sure!
