XR700 and DumaOS 3

As you all know, I have an XR700 and XR1000. I have big plans for the XR700 but really must have DumaOS 3 on it! I couldn't quite work out from the schedule when this is expected ( I mean not exactly but this year, next year....? ).

We're working on it currently, we're having some issues with it and the XR500 so we're working with NETGEAR to try and resolve these problems. It's a process of back and forth, developing, building and testing so it's hard to give an ETA as to when it'll be done. We're working hard on it though!

There is a beta DumaOS 3.0 if you wish to run that, I believe based on the 1.34 or 1.36 software.

I think I tried that one, and alas the one feature I really need is broken in it ( Congestion Control or Buffer Bloat is a big must have for me! ).

I think you figured out that was due to it handling PPPoE, give it a try again with the modem handling that and see if it works

I'm not sure whether it was or not. I didn't  test that for the XR700 ( I did for the XR1000 ). I needed to put the beta firmware back in to test it and couldn't be bothered - I elected to wait until the new XR700 firmware is complete. If I have a boring day I might do it ... !!
