Halo infinite settings

Recommended Posts

What are you playing on, console or PC?

The important things are that you've got it added to Geo-filter and are prioritising the Halo traffic in QoS.

You can follow the same optimal settings guides to see how to do that.

Geo filter has been banned if I’m right you can’t use them anymore on halo infinite?

They implemented some measures to stop people forcing servers by changing some file, but that's not really what Geo-filter does so you should still be fine. Give it a go and let us know how you get on, we've been playing a little in the office recently and it seemed fine.

Do you mean on Xbox or halo because if you mean in halo then no don’t make any difference you can’t use it but when i turn the device off on geo filter i can see the server but i don’t know if it’s just reading or controlling

Right OK, we'll have to do some more testing internally. The only difference I can think of is that we were playing on PC and you're on console, so we'll hook up an xbox and try again. I'll update you here with our findings.

So unfortunately we are all getting that same error message on XBOX when trying to play Halo Infinite with strict mode enabled (No ping to our datacenter detected).  Have you guys figured out a work around for this?  My question is to work around this can I manually block the servers (deny server) with strict mode off and will it block that laggy server for us... or does strict mode need to be on (which obviously we can not have it on or we get the error message no ping to datacenter detected).

Hey, welcome to the forum!

In theory yes but their implementation prevents you searching if a server is blocked so it may not work. It's something we will continue to try and look at, there are a few things we're looking at specifically but it will take time, it may not even work.

Can confirm, during initial login into Infinite, if the authentication sever is blocked, which it will be if geo filter is on. it will cause an error and will not let you search a match until restart, GEO LATENCY does remedy this AND lets you keep GEO FILTER ON at the same time. The only work around on previous routers is to TURN OFF geo filter until after the main menu and search for game menu loads, then turn GEO FILTER back ON.
