Attention all XR1000 users

Last night I reverted back to firmware 44_33 aka the first firmware that came with the xr. Although the interface is slow, the QoS is SIGNIFICANTLY better. Packets are being caught and more ratio is shown between download / upload.

If Fraser and co need me to do some testing I can! I will show game play as well to display bullet reg! And I don’t die super fast.

im wondering if there is udp packet loss since involving the apply to wan / normal default feature on the latest .52 FW.

All users struggling, pls revert back, fac reset, give your console games console service and I guarantee it will feel significantly better than the .52 firmware

Thanks for the report. When you notice it prioritizing better on the original firmware, what settings is that compared to on the latest?

I also did some testing looks like 44 stock firmware for xr1000 is more stable then the 52 firmware

here are the buffer bloat on 44stock firmware on the xr1000

Now the 52 firmware on xr1000

i tested multiply times with the same percent values on Qos  44stock firmware looks to be more stable  hopefully they fix it for the next update

Thinkbroadband scales so the the first one is better where the latest had some spikes so it scaled it. Bit like PingPlotter scaling that scales as your latency increases.

Seems a bit backwards but cheers!

Could you disable Traffic Prio entirely when doing those tests please as we have found it affects them in the past.

Those results look as though the latest is better as the majority of the bars are lower than the original version.

On the latest try using the apply to WAN option as well.

Newfie has said that’s WiFi WMM and has nothing to do w it...

Fraser. Buffer bloat works better on the newest FW. But traffic prio doesn’t! It’s flipped lol

The amount of beta testing we have to do with these routers running Duma OS is totally absurd!  The amount of money we spend on these underpowered routers, just to have to run beta firmwares or old firmwares is crazy.  Duma OS 3.0 for the XR500 is STILL in beta.  I recently switched to the Asus GT-AX11000 Wifi 6 gaming router and have never been happier.  Stable firmware, amazing gaming features, and I can ACTUALLY use IPv6 and QoS AT THE SAME TIME.

44 stock is better I think in general for consistency. I tried .52 and started great then went to shit fast

Do you think it’s the servers rather than the router if that happens?

I don't think the changes that were made would affect the way it works - it just gives you more options to experiment with so try experimenting with prio and the options, if they don't work as well that is fine but there is no harm in doing so - Apply to WAN sends the priority tags to the ISP so not exclusively for WiFi devices - the other options are yes.
