Old J
Can anyone tell me the benefits of having an open NAT? I have moderate now. Tried port forwarding whithout any luck. And also: is having a static IP and open nat considered to be a security risk?

Having an open nat is equal to, not having communication problems with the servers. There is no security hazard of any kind as it only opens a specific port for an application. You have several ways to get an open Nat. The first one using Upnp, which the router will automatically open the necessary port used by the application. The second is using DMZ in this way you will have all the ports ¨open¨ by default for the device you want (this way for PC is something more dangerous, for consoles nothing happens). And the last one is doing a port forwarding on the specific port used by the application you want to use. For a correct port forwarding configuration for Cod follow these steps; 1- Configure a static IP for your game system (Ps4, Ps5, PC; Xbox) 2- Create a rule with the following data; source port 3074 Destination port 3074 source port 3074 Destination port 3074 Protocol: UDP With this you should get an open Nat in any Cod. A greeting!

A greeting! Xbox uses port 3075 for warzone and ps uses port 3074. From my findings give 3075 a go on xbox. 😁

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 22, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 22, 2021 What is your exact physical setup i.e. what is your modem/router model and what DumaOS router are you using? Where are you checking the NAT status on the console network settings or in game?
kenny Reel
you have to do both tcp/udp to open nat type

Old J
@Netduma Fraser the modem does not provide wifi. It says moderate without the filter also. I tried to disable upnp and opening all the ports from activisions home page also. Cant really understand it 😳 Anyways; will having an open NAT actually help me in any way? Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 24, 2021 Administrators Share Posted January 24, 2021 Does the console show an open NAT? It's not essential to have an open NAT no - it really only affects who you're able to connect to - you wouldn't be able to connect to people that have a strict NAT for example.
