LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 Currently my ISP is only providing IPV4 support. I did not know that The Duma R2 comes with only IPV6 there is no information anywhere on this. Is there a way that someone can help me set up this router with IPV4 compatibility?
scrubosaurus Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 i dont own a R2, but i rly doubt it only ipv6
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 I think it would be more transparent if the company provide these details on the specification/details of IPV4-IPV6 support to customer before they decided to get one. This is very important because my Netduma R2 Router cannot connect to internet at all right now.
betrhlf Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 the router supports ipv4 first and that is the default ipv. it has the capability to use ipv6 is you isp supports it and with that you have to enable it.
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 After I have plug in the Ethernet cable it does not detect any internet connection. I am unable to use both LAN and Wireless. Can you provide more support?
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 I have turned off ISP router and Netduma R2 as instruction stated. Yet nothing work till now. I have been trying to setup for 2 hours now.

LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 This should provide the full answer to everything. This is my main router setting. Will be deleting this if issue is resolve.
Krush Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 OK PPPoE ... Did you try to enter your PPPoE credentials in the R2 network setting "WAN" menu The easiest way is to give us the name of ISP and your country!
Krush Posted August 24, 2020 Posted August 24, 2020 You have a bridge mode behind your ISP router ... The best if you do not know how to bypass is to put the R2 behind first and secondly to check with your ISP to know how the bypass!
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 Is there any tech support/walkthrough guide or someone I can talk to and guide me through these. I cannot use the router because it's not compatible? Why is this a problem with bridge mode in router? I have no idea how to disable the bridge mode.
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 24, 2020 Author Posted August 24, 2020 Issue is not resolved yet. This has been a rough start for R2. Trying my best to contact ISP to resolve this problem.
Newfoundland Posted August 25, 2020 Posted August 25, 2020 @Netduma Fraser can we try to solve this please. Have you tried resetting the router then going through the setup again as I see your PPPoE. When it first boots up it will say no internet detected, click the WAN settings and put in your credentials.
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 25, 2020 Author Posted August 25, 2020 I have put in my credential of PPOE afterwards. Everything is inputted correctly. I passed the starting screen already.
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 25, 2020 Author Posted August 25, 2020 I have factory reset my device. Will try again now.
LiLpamb.TwitchTV Posted August 25, 2020 Author Posted August 25, 2020 The factory reset did the job. It's working I have asked my ISP to support IPV6 and it's working like a charm now thank you. No PPOE input required. All is well.
