Cant get internet connection using vigor 130 and xr500.

Hi,

I'm on sky adsl and set up the vigor 130 modem to my xr500 router but can't get an internet connection. I have put the vigor 130 in bridge mode but it still says internet disconnected. Can anyone pls help. Once again, I am on sky ADSL. Thank you.

Hey, welcome to the forum!

With Sky I'm pretty certain that you need to use DHCP identifiers/login to get a connection, have you input these details into the Internet Setup page on the XR?

you need to either use wireshark to identify your username and password for sky or use sky router, disable wifi, delete every device from it except your pc and XR500. Then you need to give your XR500 a static ip address in your sky router and then input that address into your sky DMZ.

You don't have to do any of that.Just type this into option 61 settings  abcdefg123456@skydslabcd1234 that's it then hit apply and the internet light will come on

I bloody wiresharked it when I was with Sky to get the details lol
