david
The speed test works but the ping test has 100% packet loss and "NaNms" for avg ping and jitter, and "NaNms" for all Ping Test (Under Load) results. What IP is the test pinging? What does "NaNms" mean?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 7, 2020 The test is direct from the router to the closest server provided by Mlabs. How do you have the R2 setup exactly? Could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing please?
david
R2 is connected directly to my virgin media broadband router which is in router mode - no other dives are connected to the virgin media device. R2 WAN is configured for DHCP. MLab's speed test works on a connected PC with 11ms ping and 0% data loss.
Netduma Staff Netduma Adrian Posted August 7, 2020 Netduma Staff Share Posted August 7, 2020 Hi david, The Ping Test and Ping Test (Under Load) use Google DNS servers (8.8.8.8) as the target to ping. Is it possible that you cannot ping that ip for some reason? If not, we will look more into the issue. Many thanks for notifying.

Never noticed ping didn't work before other speed tests have always reported ping response times correctly. Fixed now and connection test is working. Thanks Netduma Fraser
Administrators Netduma Iain Posted August 7, 2020 Administrators Share Posted August 7, 2020 Thanks @david, really glad you found that for us. @Netduma Fraser @Netduma Alex @Netduma Admin Please be aware of this issue. If connection benchmark is giving weird results check if upstream router is blocking ICMP (ping) Netduma Fraser
