re upload latest firmware and factory reset via the pin hole in the back, hold down for about 20 seconds. Also make sure your ISP didn't have downtime due to maintenance just to be safe, if it persists contact Netgear support as its their hardware and if you have a warranty start a RMA. Hope it work out.

Are you resetting then using a saved profile ?

if so reset and don’t use a saved config. Setup from new. Make sure all your devices are off too and then turn each device on one at a time.

if you are not using a saved profile RMA the unit as Killhippie suggested.

I’ll be on to netgear by now. Their returns are very easy and quick. I sent mine off and 2 days later I received a new router.

The WiFi thing is probably happening because all of your devices support 5GHz. If you're using Smart Connect, devices will be put on the best band they're compatible with... Providing they're not too far away for 5GHz to be effective. Unless there's a mismatch between the band that devices are actually connecting to, in terms of maximum speed, and what's listed in device manager, I think this is expected behaviour.

All of the pop up errors are quite concerning though. Definitely make sure that you clear your browser cache, maybe try in an incognito/private window, just to eliminate the chance of it being a problem local to your PC.

If that doesn't work, you could try downgrading your firmware right back to the initial release, then back up to current. Here's the initial release: https://kb.netgear.com/000053241/XR500-Firmware-Version-2-0-0-28

If all of that fails, then yeah maybe look into an RMA cause those are some strange popups.

is worse than I thought, the French branch of NETGEAR, I do not want to sweep away because they write me to give myself into AP mode, and I want the function of geo-filter and Qos, that there is an ip conflict and they can't do anything, I wrote that 5 months worked, they they don't do anything about it, they upset me a little, there'll be a war

Do you have the case number of your ticket? We can try to escalate it from our side. Advising you to use AP mode and lose the features is not a valid fix in my opinion.

 #42324284 ,thank you, I lost hope, I even wrote them that they helped me reinstalling the software and it is better now, but nothing really is better, a visit from netgear france is not very nice, I didn't want to write to them anymore
