Kahari
Does the Geo-Filter not support the New Modern Warfare?? I've even tried erasing my PC and adding it as a console and still this is what it looks like when in a lobby. When I click on the server nothing shows up. (See Pics 1 and 2) I took these screenshots while the match was loading up. Clearly this isn't the server anyway because it randomly shows up and disappears when I'm not in a lobby and just at the main screen before I enter a match. (And yes it's the same ID) The other pic is a random peer which might be me? I'm not sure but its the only peer that shows up both when I'm in game and not in a lobby or match. Administrators Netduma Alex Posted December 6, 2019 Administrators Share Posted December 6, 2019 It isn't working perfectly yet. The main issue right now is that there are some mislocated servers, which can cause issues with matchmaking. Right now we recommend you just use Ping Assist as a temporary solution to this problem
Kahari
Ping Assist doesn't seem to be working either. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 6, 2019 Administrators Share Posted December 6, 2019 That peer is a server I checked the IP. You won't see yourself on the map at all. Disable Auto Ping and then click on the icon that shows when you're in a game. What happens when you use Ping Assist? I would suggest zooming out of the map so you can see fully. Kahari
Is there any update on using the Geo-Filter for Modern Warfare? It simply doesn't work..It searches and connects me to high ping servers outside the radius of my filter.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2020 Could you provide a screenshot of this happening so we can take a look? Might be we haven't got all the servers corrected and so require more IDs.
Kahari
It looks pretty much the same as my previous pictures.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2020 The screenshots you've shown all have the servers within your radius, what does it look like when they're outside your radius?
Kahari
Regular servers with triangles.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 3, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 3, 2020 If they're in triangles that indicates they're being blocked so couldn't be the game host. Could you zoom out completely of the map and get into a game where it's outside your radius and post a screenshot please?
Kahari
Also when I click on the Europe server to try and deny it, all it does is load.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted January 4, 2020 Administrators Share Posted January 4, 2020 The icon within your radius is the host. The one in Europe is an authentication server that we have whitelisted as it is required for online play, if you were to block it then you wouldn't be able to connect to the game at all. Kahari
For the past couple months, I've been connecting to servers outside of my radius and the geo-filter hasn't been blocking any of the servers I blocked. It's kind of back to the same issue I had a while back, where it's connecting to blocked servers. Also some of the servers/peer icons aren't even coming up or showing up in the geo-filter. I just connects to a game and the geo-filter is blank. (Modern Warfare 2019)
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted June 10, 2020 Administrators Share Posted June 10, 2020 Do this first: Hard turn off the console Delete device from Geo-Filter Flush the Geo cloud Re-add the device Setup your Geo settings Wait 2 minutes Boot console/game Then could you provide a screenshot of what you're seeing please? Kahari
Did everything like you stated. It worked for 2 games then it looked like this on the 3rd game. A server showed up momentarily so I tried clicking on it. This is what it has been doing the past 10 mins even while playing in a match. Nothing has changed as I played 3 more matches and this one server is still trying to load with no additional servers or peers coming up. Dialatech
Really you need to include screenshot of the full map of the geo-filter.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 12, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 12, 2020 If you're getting games outside your radius you need to be zoomed out really as if they're mislocated then they could be anywhere, could you provide another screenshot when you're in a game? Kahari
Here’s two screenshots while match making. Full lobby, no peers showing, and one server I clicked on that is on an infinite load loop.
Kahari
But this is what it shows when I first boot up my PC. (Not in game) (See attached)
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 14, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 14, 2020 It appears everything is blocked/allowed correctly there, nothing outside your radius. You won't see peers in game as it is a server based game. I see you're using Safari there, if you use Google Chrome and then try to ping does it work then? Kahari
But that only shows when booting up the PC. (Did you check out the above pics as well?) I tried google chrome and I get the same type of results.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 15, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 15, 2020 None of the screenshots provided show anything connected outside your radius, are you able to provide a screenshot where you can see something outside the radius? Kahari
That's exactly my point. It doesn't show anything that I'm connected to. That is what it shows on my screen when in game or match making lobby.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 15, 2020 Administrators Share Posted July 15, 2020 There is a host in your radius, that is the game host and what you're connected to.
Kahari
Ok, but it just infinite loads. Nothing comes up where I can deny it or see if it's a decent server.
