Dave Masefield Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Sounds like you need to remove your cookies.

Administrators Netduma Admin Posted November 13, 2018 Administrators Posted November 13, 2018 If you have not manually set your own login, it always defaults to admin and password (lowercase and make sure you type this in English) If you did set a manual login, try admin and password too if your usual entries are not working. If you can't get it to work, take a small object like a pen and push the reset button down at the back. Hold it down until the lights beep and then wait for the R1 to complete the factory reset. You can then access it again with the default admin and password

Connect to a different port on the R1 and make sure the cable is in your PC firmly. Also make sure the LED light is on for the port on your R1. Try again (at 192.168.88.1). If that's not working, double check you haven't set a static IP on your LAN adapter on your PC.
DA_guru85 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 hello. i upgraded to the milestone 1.3 today, and now it won't let me log into the router. i never change the password or username, its at the default admin password. i did use lower case lettering an still the same issue of not being able to log in. any help will be much appreciated! thanks
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 13, 2018 Administrators Posted November 13, 2018 Hey, welcome to the forum! I would suggest you do a factory reset using the button at the back of the router, default details will be admin / password and will hopefully log you in then
DA_guru85 Posted November 13, 2018 Posted November 13, 2018 Okay, thank you for your reply. I've just heard horror stories that it will brick the unit doing so. ☹

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 13, 2018 Administrators Posted November 13, 2018 You're right doesn't look like it's upgraded. Were you trying to do it via the phone? If so I wouldn't recommend it and try upgrading again from a wired PC

Administrators Featured Comment Netduma Admin Posted November 14, 2018 Administrators Featured Comment Posted November 14, 2018 Just to update everyone - we managed to replicate this bug in testing today. It is incredibly rare - it seems to happen less than 1% of the time. We will obviously be working on a fix. But for now, anyone affected should factory reset using the button on the back. To do this, make sure the router is powered on. Then take a small object like a paperclip or a pen and push down on the little reset button. Wait for the lights to blink off and then on again. Wait about 30 seconds to 1 minute and then try accessing the user interface. The default credentials will now be back in place: Admin: admin Password: password You will then need to setup your router again. I recommend following these optimal settings guides: http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/folders/16000090646

fssol8265 Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 I've factory reset myR1 with the a pin in the back which I know makes the login be "admin" and "password" but when I try to login with this after going to "192.168.88.1", it just keeps asking for a login over and over again.

What firmware version did you go from and what version did you go to? Clear your browser cache/cookies then try again.
