Zennon
Yes I am a big Maiden fan, they are not as good as they used to be but they are getting old now. their latest albums do not do a thing for me but i still listen to their classics albums a lot. Glad to hear that you are a fan! I respectfully have to disagree about the new music though. The post reunion Maiden (2000-present) has been brilliant. Sometimes they can get a little long winded with the 8-10 minute songs, but i really think that their writing skills have really come on strong in the past decade. I always liked their faster tunes on the classic albums, but their newer faster tunes haven't been that great as of late, except for El Dorado which is awesome. The newer stuff may not have the stand out tracks that the classic albums do, but as a whole i think they may be better than some of the classics. And definitely light years ahead of the 90s Maiden stuff. To each their own, glad that people are stick rocking to Maiden after all these years \m/ \m/
fuzzy clam
Maiden is still a great band, although I do agree with Z they're getting older. But so is Megadeth,Anthrax, and Slayer but still love them.Didn't mention Metallica as they went to shit when the black album came out. Zennon
Metalica master of puppets and ride the lightning are quality albums but yes i do not like their newer stuff , I like anthrax's among the living the best. Slayer south of heaven and reign in blood Maiden its the first album , killers , number of the beast, powerslave & live after death , maybe piece of mind but the drumming aint to tight from Nico on that album. cranium2001
I'm definitely a metal guy but the best shows I ever saw were Pink Floyd in 87, Eric Clapton in 91 and 99 and Faith No More, Metallica and Guns and Roses in 91. I've seen a shit ton of shows and loved them all.

I love a lot of different music too. The pop music doesn't really do it for me but some of it is catchy I suppose.

RolidSnake
So many music tastes being thrown around in this thread. I love it! Time for a dirty plug! This is/was my band. We split up a while back but managed to do some great things during our time together. We were once described as, "Black Sabbath being raped by Pac-Man" and "Cyborg soul music". Think guitar riffs on a bed of dirty electronica and heavy drums. I hope you guys like it! https://gallops.bandcamp.com/

Zennon
What do you guys think of Maiden's new album? I think its great harking back to there 80's sound, you can tell they have been touring their classic tracks the last few years while making this. A happy maiden fan, up the irons \00/
