Cant get my full speed

Recommended Posts

Hello guys

Am paying for a cable Internet 100mbs..

But i cant reach that amount

On WiFi i get max 35-40 mbs

And wired max 70 mbs

Also through Ps4 speed i get only 30mbs (i dont know why)

Can someone propose me a solution please?

P. S. Also some times i face limited Internet access or disconecting..

I spoke with company and they test the line, and they send full bandwidth of 100

your speeds through psn test are not accurate, you should use speedtest.net. If you are using the R1 then select reactive in congestion control and turbo mode in misc settings.

Ok and what are the best settings overall for 100mbs

varies from connection to connection. 70/70 when gaming is what netduma advise, my best is 86/86

And the rest on miscellaneous section? What did you tick?

I would ensure these settings are applied:

- Reactive Algorithm
- 100% anti-flood
- Share excess enabled
- Reset device prioritisation & apply
- Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
- Disable deep packet in misc
- Enable turbo mode
- Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
- Do a wired speed test from a PC

If you have these settings and run a wired PC speed test, what speeds do you receive?

If you don't have Anti-Flood on 100 when running a speed test you will never receive your full speeds since you're throttling.

It's worth saying that games use

I have the same problem with 100mb, Doing a wired test with all the settings good I have 50mb download and 20mb upload, 100% to my ps4 with share excess disabled. If I connect the ps4 to my isp I get 96mb download and 50mb of upload. All the devices are also connected to the netduma.

with share excess disabled.

I think this could be the problem as it could be throttling your connecting. Please make sure it is ticked on both download and upload and try again.

Thanks for help, now I'm getting 90mb download and 40 upload with share excess enable, so if I put 90 to my ps4 with share excess enabled it wouldn't take effect. When I need to use share excess disabled?

If you allocate all the bandwidth to your PS4 and disable share excess then none of your other devices will get any bandwidth. Games typically use less than 0.5Mbps so there’s no need to allocate all your bandwidth to your console. I would recommend leaving share excess enabled. You could allocate your PS4 10% - 20% of your bandwidth if you wanted (that would be more than enough for your console)

And If I want to download a game I keep it with share excess enabled or disabled
