run pingplotter and see if you get those spikes and then run the same test without the r1 and see if you still get them to rule out the R1. if you still get them without the R1 then it is an isp/line issue!

I’ve moved this topic to the general support section. Please do not post in the 1 on 1 section unless requested to do so by Netduma staff.

This is the issue everyone has with ISP's in that they always blame everything other than themselves. It's simply cheaper for them to do so.

It is not likely for the Netduma itself to cause ping spikes. Physically, I'm pretty certain it's almost impossible. Spikes usually happen upstream in any connection (as does jitter).

Given that this is the case, following your connection upstream and running tests will ascertain where the issue is happening. It could be the wire between your Modem and the Netduma (or the wire to the device you are testing on), or it could be the modem. Run your own tests and do not take the word of an ISP at face value. (Doing your own tests also ensures you don't take -our- word at face value).

I'd recommend a pingplotter test or two wired directly to your new modem, using different cables.

That sounds like you could have congestion on your line. The Congestion Control on the Netduma will help you with this.

Post the Pingplotter results on here when you can and we'll take a look. Could you also run a Speedtest too.

(You'll probably find it easier to upload your screenshots to a site like imgur and link here, rather than posting them on the forum directly)

Thanks!
