Dkid713
What's up everyone? Hope all is well Duma peeps! Just wondering if anyone has tried playing Bo3 multiplayer without using the HF? I have more consistent games AND my hit detection is crazy nice! Seriously lol. Here are my settings for anyone that would like to give it a shot. PS4 internet/automatic LAN Duma in DMZ/PS4 Bo3 Nat Type/open Bandwidth/ 270up-11dn automatically configure speeds/NO CC/ Reactive. DC/ 90% UC/100% Hyper Traffic/ OFF VPN/ disabled Profile/ General Gaming Settings/ wifi off Port Forwarding/none UPnP/ enabled LAN-WAN IPV6 disabled Only thing in Miscellaneous ticked is upnp forwarding, enable cookies, and turbo mode I didn't add my PS4 to host filtering and played with the enabled unticked. I didn't add it whatsoever. Like with anything else, might work for you or maybe it won't. Just putting it out there! Getting shot in the back just to turn on them like all the time is so lovely. Then again I play on a 12 sensitivity so I'm sure that helps. Who else plays Bo3 without host filtering???
progprogprog
This is a strange one My friend plays with geo filter disabled and is convinced he has better games. Mine is total opposite as in if I play bo3 I have to have geo enabled otherwise I can not find a game! What I do is put home location on top of server Then load the game with strict on filter distance 68 miles
progprogprog
Pretty sure the game reads your bandwidth and if it's to low it will struggle to find games without geo enabled I could sit for ever waiting
Dkid713
Yes it is weird lol. I also noticed that I have to adjust my sliders according to the time of day for some reason. I'm not really computer savvy but after messing around with the sliders I can pinpoint where I need my sliders. I have like 3 different sets. 35-35 70-70 90-100 for different time of the day or night.

Then again I play on a 12 sensitivity so I'm sure that helps. Who else plays Bo3 without host filtering??? Hey, welcome to the forum! We sometimes come across people saying this is the case, though in my professional opinion I believe this is a placebo effect. I believe this because the Geo-filter simply gives you control over which hosts you connect to - with the Geo-filter disabled, it is possible to still be connected to the same hosts you would find with the Geo-filter enabled. All the Geo-filter does is give you that extra control and filter out hosts based on distance and ping. There's no way it can affect lag compensation / net coding, so that's ruled out. It might be worth checking if your in-game NAT is open with the Geo-filter enabled, since NAT is the only likely cause of getting worse games with it enabled. We always recommend changing up your Geo-filter settings if you feel you get better games with it disabled. If you truly believe you do, then all it means is there's a better way to set up your Geo-filter - it rarely means it's worth disabling it entirely. Especially for a game like CoD, which the Geo-filter was designed for. Let us know if this advice helped, and maybe run some more tests
Dkid713
Wow thanks for the reply. You are spot on dude! I noticed that when I have a moderate Nat with geo filter enabled the games are so inconsistent. When I DMZ my Duma to get an open Nat for Bo3, it doesn't matter whether I have geo filter enabled or disabled. It's like I'm still connecting to the same server. I live in Houston Texas and I think there is a server in Dallas? I put the radius just big enough to cover it. But I notice that when I do that every other game I'm getting disconnected!! Maybe u can tell me exactly why lol. Thank You so much for your time. It means a lot to me! Keep up the good work and dedication my peeps!
N3CR0
Can't say it did jack for me. No difference at all.

I would recommend putting Ping Assist to 50ms (or slightly less) if you're getting disconnected a lot - the game probably wants to put you in another specific server which the Geo-filter is blocking. Likewise you could increase your distance slider until it's not disconnecting so much. So long as your ping to the game is less than 60ms you should be getting good gameplay and filtering out the worst of them Can't say it did jack for me. No difference at all. What's the issue Necro? Is your NAT closed / moderate? If you'd like, you could open a new thread with your issue and we'll work on resolving it

RL317
My only issue is rubbish hit detection on IW. Just trying whatever tricks may work. Other than that, I don't have an issue I started playing again for the first time in three months yesterday. I had like one smooth game in a couple of hours lol. Flatline 7ms to the UK server as always... I think my smoothest game was on the German server, maybe the Italian one. Either way that wasn't the lowest ping game lol
Dkid713
That did the trick Jack. I put the ping slider on 50 and no longer am I getting booted. Thank you bro! I've always loved the Duma it just takes time to tweak it here n there. Kudos to everyone on this forum for all the great knowledge n making things easier for us all. The main thing for me was going on dsl reports to find the sweet spot. I get A+ overall A bufferbloat and A+ quality. And I noticed that u have to actually STARE at the little ping arch that spikes up n down!! The less it moves and stays in the green the better. Take care Jack and thanks for the advice. God Bless

God Bless That makes no difference. I get A+ on several different settings yet IW plays different on all of them. The better my connection (according to DSLR which I do not trust) the worse IW plays. The Netduma needs more tweaking than probably any router out there due to the nature of the Geo-filter and getting it configured perfectly for each game, so we're really thankful for peoples input. We're trying to streamline this as much as possible all the time, but if you need any more help doing so then make a post here
