punkmuster
Hi, first time poster. Im having problems connecting to party chat and xbox is showing moderate or unavailable NAT types in network settings. I have my AT&T router/modem set on dmz and xbox ports forwarded on my netduma. There is no consistency every time i start up the xbox, it shows something different. Not sure what else to try. I mainly play iw and in game it shows an open nat type. The only way I can get party chat to work is to invite my second xbox to party chat which works perfectly, then i can add my friends to it which seems to work pretty good but just a pain to do every time. Tried upnp as well with no luck. Please help!!!!! Thanks
iAmMoDBoX
Well even before I had my Netduma I always had party issues with X1... But what I believe your issue is here is the geo filter... First make sure you have it off, then add all your friends to your allow/deny list so they can connect to you. Do this by inviting them and then clicking on their circle and rating them at 100%. This will make sure they can always connect. Second, make sure you only put the geo filter on AFTER you are in the game's multiplayer lobby by yourself. The reason for having a moderate NAT is more than likely because the geo filter is blocking the Xbox NAT server since it's enabled when you are turning on your X1 (which is probably in stand by mode not actually off) http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000023979-optimal-settings-guide
N3CR0
Well even before I had my Netduma I always had party issues with X1... Me too and on Xbox 360. Me and a couple of mates have been playing for over 10 years now and despite being on various ISP's and moving to different locations around the country, we have always had problems party chatting with each other. It's actually a really simple fix... Wanna know what I did? Got a PS4... Then I realized how much that sucked, and now I use discord for chat and play on PC

I have tried all that you mentioned. Here is more information on my problem. I have 2 xbox ones and the other, that is set as my home xbox so my son can play with me, is always at an open nat type and has zero problems connecting to friends. Its only mine and it shows unavailable nat 95% of the time. Then it tells me to open port 3544 i believe which is already open manually in port forwarding settings. When I manually port forwarded, they were all set to my xbox ip address and not his which I don't think matters anyway(correct me if i'm wrong). Through all this I found that upnp works better with multiple consoles so that's what i'm using now. There is nothing that I can tell is any different in how each xbox is setup in anyway other than his is set as my home xbox. Xbox always says, your network settings are blocking party chat, when I try getting in ANY party except my sons xbox. Please let me know if you need anymore info. Thanks again! XSXS
Definitely use UpNp for multiple consoles. I know on COD there is open NAT issues in game when using two XB1 but you should still have open NAT in network settings on both XB1 dash board. Are you using the instant one feature on either of the XBoxs? is so turn it off, reboot everything, modem router, etc and that should fix it. The comment above is spot on, so I would try his suggestion. Hopefully we'll find a permanent fix for multiple consoles not receiving an open NAT in DumaOS or in the near future. David824
also do you have your xbox static?..On my sons xbox one, the only times I got unavailable was when the ip changed (messing around with different things) and his static xbox ip was different...once I made sure the ip matched up with his static everything opened back up. Im not 100% sure if its static or if there is a specific setting but i do know it does not change. I will definitely check into that. Thanks!
