RedBull2k
Just using UPnP now shows open NAT in game on IW PS4 for port 3074. If you used to just use UPnP and switched to port forwarding you can now return to UPnP.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted May 15, 2017 Administrators Share Posted May 15, 2017 Was this since the last update? If so that's great and indicates we were correct in that it didn't request the ports correctly.

Buster
Is it also working for multiple consoles as well? Yes, two PS4's on the same network and I'm seeing second PS4 have multiple ports opened by playing Infinite Warfare, however it does then say we both have moderate NAT in game, but I can't tell any difference in the way it plays.... Must have been in latest update. The thing was though in query.sh the port had been requested all along but never showed as open in UpNP. Not a duma problem as as this would happen in other routers Yes, two PS4's on the same network and I'm seeing second PS4 have multiple ports opened by playing Infinite Warfare, however it does then say we both have moderate NAT in game, but I can't tell any difference in the way it plays.... fuzzy clam
That's good to hear as it was such a simple thing that could and should have been addressed right after launches it's a step in the right direction.

RL317
Interesting stuff. I used to use only UPnP on my Virgin Media Superhub back in MW3 and Ghosts and I always had an open NAT. Games after that required me to open port 3074 manually. When I got my Netduma and enabled UPnP it would show the only port opened on the console automatically was 9308, as well as some others for my laptop. I recently switched from firmware 1.03.6h to 1.03.4 because the GUI lag while using hyper lane and port forwarding along with an enabled geofilter was unbearable, especially if I wanted to experiment with settings to find solid games, so it would be great if I could delete my manually forwarded rules and simply use UPnP now. It's just a shame I can't upgrade back to 6h and will have to make do with 6g, assuming there's a difference

fuzzy clam
Yeah those are the 2 annoying little ports they could have done from release date and it would have saved people a lot of trouble. But glad to see they finally got the game to request them so the duma could pick them up.
RL317
Curiously I just checked the UPnP page and 3074 has disappeared but 9308 is still there *shrugs*

Lots of times you can achieve an open NAT,just by having 3074 show up
RL317
Yeah it seems to come and go, but the NAT has been open throughout
