Idiot On Tour
FIFA 17 compensates the player with the weaker connection by giving the opponent input delay. Although i don't want my opponents to suffer, my connection is much better than most people's meaning I'm the one getting the input delay. Anyway I could reduce the quality of my connection to balance that out?

bagsta69
It may not be that the game is causing your "better than most connection" to give you input lag. There are many other factors that could cause this. Are you playing on Low level input lag tv / monitor? Are your settings interlaced or progressive? Progressive is better. Do you have backlight settings on your tv monitor? if so set it to zero and turn off eco mode. I would find out first what the input delay is on your tv monitor. If it has a game mode setting make sure that you are using it. If you already know all this then I am sorry for wasting your time. Cheers.

I changed some picture settings on my tv a while back and forgot that I'd done it, I went through 3 or 4 prestiges (yes, seriously that much time passed) of weird in-game delay torture until I finally realised what was wrong. It made a huge difference when I changed everything back. Doh.

Given its a game of only two players whatever you do to make your connection worse will have an adverse affect on your opponent most likely. Can't have one without the other. Force a player abroad if you want a higher ping game which is essentially what you're asking to have.

Or... switch to Virgin Media lmao
