BIG__DOG
virgin are notorious for being garbage for gaming. I left them after 18 years and switched over to BT vdsl as soon as it was active in my area. The drop from 152/12 to 76/19 was well worth the trade off for a more solid line and superior gaming experience. Although i left BT to join idnet the switch from virgin to dsl was well worth it. sub91
Well what annoys me is that people was saying there's less bufferbloat on the hub 2ac but it's the same amount it's worse on the hub 2ac then it was on the hub
Zennon
If you have an uncongested line then the CPU is said to be better in the 2 as it does not create extra jitter on top of what you already have but it sounds like you are heavily congested. sub91
It's only me on this VM line and only 2 other people in my street have virgin media
Zennon
It could be in such a low populated Virgin user area that they have under provided between you three, or that you connect to an area with a lot more users the latter would make more sense to a business. Zennon
A program like ping plotter is better for judging jitter and latency I think than dsl reports.
N3CR0
reset both boxes now getting this http://www.dslreports.com/speedtest/12156714 The only problem I see there is with the download. Idle ping is the same as mine and upload is alright considering.

N3CR0
Doesn't look too bad for a Virgin line to me tbh.
ColonicBoom
i'm coming to the end with virgin media mite just pay the 300 to come off the contract not fun gaming with this much problems Don't pay it. Give them constant (but polite) grief, keep calling for engineers (Virgin don't charge for sending engineers), within a few weeks they will probably let you out of the contract without penalty because it'll be less hassle. They did for me, in about a month. And I really wouldn't pay much attention to dslreports for testing Virgin, I got A+ across the board on a line that I couldn't play games on. I was a teleportation machine.
