Slipknot31286sic6
If router is set up correctly. Last thing is ping plotter or a 1 on 1.
Rasmus
What pingplotter is going to do??
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 13, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 13, 2016 To rename your PS4 go to device manager and click edit, just type in the box of the nameless device that you know is the PS4. It will save automatically after you've written it. No need to click anything else. ALL devices need to be connected to the R1 via ethernet or WiFi in order for congestion control to work correctly. What is the average ping you're getting to the game as shown by the duma? I wouldn't worry about ping plotter just yet as it may not be needed
slashformayor
I went to paly online with my brother in law over the weekend. He was on before me and decided to have a few warm up games while he waited. Turns out he could not find a lobby at all. He has standard sky fibre and router, no R1. He did a speed test and found he was getting 1mb download, and 0.06 upload lol. When i came online i found him playing custom games as he could not get a game online. Out of interest i said shall i send you an invite to join me and i will find a game? He agreed, and it worked. We played for a couple of hours and in most cases he was doing as well as i as i was, going 20 and 8 at one point. We did another speed test half way through and it broke it, same speeds, but it booted him out the lobby right away. Sky have since told him it's a faulty cable outside his property. But goes to show that you do not actually require alot of bandwidth to play online.
Rasmus
In the ping graphs it usually is 50-80 but sometimes it jumps to
fuzzy clam
In the ping graphs it usually is 50-80 but sometimes it jumps to 300 First off make sure your playing wired as those are some pretty big spikes. How is your ISP ? I would say run ping plotter to check your ISP but will wait for Fraser to chime in and see what he comes up with.

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 15, 2016 My internet is working pretty good and im not lagging when i play but all others devices like my laptop is working pretty slow when i use netduma WiFi. What should i do? Recommend using a WiFi analyser to find the least congested channel and then change to that in WiFi settings. Would also switch to PSK2 security mode. http://www.howtogeek.com/197268/how-to-find-the-best-wi-fi-channel-for-your-router-on-any-operating-system/

Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 19, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 19, 2016 Yes that shouldn't occur, make sure you're not using the V2 theme on the router & that you're using congestion control. Double check the WAN IP from the R1 hasn't changed, you may need to update the DMZ. Also console IP may have changed, set a static IP for it in DHCP lease. Rasmus
What i mean is that my R1 router is getting me a host from closer distance which is good of course but its making the internet with other devices where i use the netduma's WIFI pretty bad and i'm also still lagging while playing with my PS4. I'm gonna call to my internet provider next monday and try to get my internet working properly.

Hard to give you steps in the right direction to find the issue without the screenshots,it helps so much when diagnosing your issue, without them we're all just giving you suggestions from past experiences or situations. Posting your screenshots work as they are specific to your network issues, so please as Fraser said post them and we'll get you straightened out. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 9, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 9, 2017 Great to hear that! That shouldn't have had an effect. Hard turn off the console Disable Geo-filter on DumaHub in modem mode or R1 WAN IP from device manager into the DMZ on hubUPnP & port forwarding disabled on the hubUPnP OR port forwarding enabled on the Duma, not bothUPnP forwarding disabled in Duma miscellaneous settingsBoot up console - check network settings - should be open or NAT Type 2 (open)Boot up game - should be open
