sheer disappointment

I bought your product some time ago, prob 13-14 months, and out of that time i've had 2 months of lets say "good experience". the other 80% has bee utter frustration and disappointment.

 

I have had chats with admin and used ping plotter with my router and the duma. the results were better on my router and the admin guy tried to say it was my isp. we were both watching the results live and he was trying to fob me off like I couldn't see what was happening in front of my face.

 

the settings seem to change themselves every now and again!? everything was running smooth as and then something just randomly changed and ever since it's been a nightmare.

 

now I cant get it off moderate for love nor money (without reverting to my router). I've followed help vids to the tee with no joy.

 

things like it being on 1.03gb update (or whatever it is) since I bought it says a lot to me! are u say in 14 months you've not found a way to improve/fix it? and one post where an admin dude replied something like "its a device used to control congestion in houses with lots of devices, it won't stop lag. I totally get this but maybe don't have "DOMINATE LAG" on the box it comes in. or big youtubers plugging it (thunder, the reason I bought it)

 

I've literally giving up and put it down to just a really bad purchase on my part. Any chance I could get my money back or your top boy to help me out? you can access my pc and do play around to your hearts content if it means i get it back to how it was.

1. You created your forum account 9 months ago, did you wait before making one for 4 months of bad usage?

2. Admins, unless employed by netduma don't speak for netduma.

3. This happens to me too, it is a known bug that will hopefully be resolved in v2.

4. Disable UPnP and open the ports in port forwarding.  This will get you an Open NAT, or turn on UPnP disable all Port Forwarding turn off the xbox/PSN reboot the netduma. turn on the xbox/netduma.

5. The haven't made an update since 1.03.6 because they are working on a v2 of the firmware built from the ground up.

6. Marketing is marketing, they say things or use words that are misleading but not complete lies.  The router helps you mitigate lag in a completely unique way with geo-filtering

7. You can setup a 1 on 1 with Fraser, he will log into your router and change all the settings.  I sometimes have time and could go over some basic networking with you.

What is your average ping in games? Please post the results of a network diagnostics test, or any other results you might have. Letting us know your set-up would help as well.

 

What device are you getting moderate NAT on, and what game are you trying to play? There are often game-specific ports to open, and following the steps abc stated above should resolve your moderate NAT issue.

 

If you mean that your settings are literally changing, the only way that can happen is if you've reset the router or turned it off for a while. Enabling cookies and saving a profile will help there, but I assume you mean that it just feels as though the settings have changed.

 

Distance is the main cause of lag, and the Geofilter is the only piece of software on the planet designed to reduce host distance; as well as dealing with local congestion, the second main cause of lag. We don't false advertise what this router can do, and the issues you're having can be fixed. If nothing we try on this thread works then we'll arrange a 1 on 1 with you; but again, we need to know all of your issues first.

As most of us have seen. YouTubers know nothing about the router . They fill you with lies to make money on your clicks. Trial and error is the Only way to get the netduma to work. As everyone's connection is different. Should be stated boldy on the box. Router will fix your home network but only if setup correctly. Worked amazing in bo3. Praised it. IW, not so much.

When there is money involved the fine details get blurred real quick. The GFUEL one is pushed so hard to lil kids yet it's so unhealthy and expensive.  All GFUEL is an unhealthy amount of sugar and Caffeine.  The 11 year old downing the Gfuel his mom bought using code FAZE might be better off just drinking a full pot of black coffee starting 30 mins before his gaming session.
