Not even the R1 can save Infinite Warfare

Also I have been playing on the server in New York and it's has played fantastic as well. I remember getting a kill where the enemy was actually looking and shooting in a direction I moved from. Felt like I had the advantage playing on that server. The trick is to not play on a server that's too close.

@CB - Tbh I didn't like the look of it compared to BO3, but I did expect far better connections overall. I'm so used to being frustrated for the past year that when I find a game with the great connection I expect, I can tolerate all the other aspects of game design that I don't necessarily agree with. That's why, after getting sick of Advanced Lagfare, I went back to Ghosts for another year, even though I didn't really like the game itself. Ghosts was a dream to play on cable, and is even better on BT Infinity (although I only play the odd game every couple of months now, just to confirm the problem with BO3/IW isn't with my connection lol). TTK in BO3 and IW are slower than the older CoDs, yet I die instantly in IW and have to have ridiculously good accuracy and reactions in order to win 25% of "50/50" gunfights that, in the same situation in Ghosts, would have been more like 75%.

I've been running long tests on Pingplotter in the morning before I get on and it's great; perma <10ms, averaging under half a millisecond of jitter throughout. I get on IW, aim assist goes missing over enemies, hitmarkers are laggy and 0.75KDs are supposedly snapping straight on target with NV4s up close, maintaining 100% accuracy and outgunning my Rpr EVO or FHR? I've only had five or six games that felt fair since I downloaded IW, and funny enough my very first game was great. Same lobby next game it all goes downhill

I hear ya ts, when I watch others playing the game it looks like they're playing a totally different game yet like you I have flat line ping less than 10 ms and the same in game.

I usually manage 2-3 games before it gets switched off.

I don't know if it's just me but I prefer the bright and vibrant maps. Will we ever get a game that's boots on the ground, treyarch map design, sledgehammer vibrant colors and a connection that is decent enough for the majority?

You think maybe we just get the short end of the stick with servers? Otherwise I'm stumped. Thanks to people on this forum I'm rocking a seriously good setup for gaming, and that shows in other games and tests, but I get into a game of IW and 95% of the time I'm just saying "lies" or "nope" over and over lol. Those few games where it felt smooth were amazing and left me wanting more, same for BO3. In Ghosts it was amazing 95% of the time, so I don't understand what's changed (other than moving to a better ISP haha, my Virgin Media line seemed to be suffering with Parkinson's).

I really don't know what is wrong with it but something is up. Ive been playing Cod for 9 years and this is the first time I have ever got fed up with it this fast. Less than a month. And it's not that I am sick of Cod I can play private matches and bots till the cows come home I love the game just not the inconsistent connections.

Are you guys having the experience where 1/2 of the match you're struggling to hit targets, enemies are literally doing 180s and killing you, then you'll have about 2-3 minutes of the match where you are an aimbot and can't help but to lock on to targets? I'm getting a lot of this back and forth crap in my matches. HCTDM & Core.

yup

I found a good lobby today Bagsta. It was a late join, but the connection was great either way. Second game same lobby there were some WTF moments (instant deaths to the NV4, while mine didn't do the same), but for the most part it was decent. The third game made me want to scream, in the very same lobby, against the very same players. I left.

Started looking for games that weren't in progress, because I found one that dumped me in at the killcam, and somehow I got a free loss for that. Had to back out of 29 lobbies in a row to find one that hasn't started yet, and when I found one it was horrific. Not only was there a Saudi leading the lobby, seemingly having no issues, but everytime I engaged someone there would be a pause where nothing happened and my gun stopped firing, with the trigger still mashed down, and then I'd suddenly die as if the game was freezing up. This mostly happened in gunfights with the guy leading the enemy team. His suppressed Erad would instantly map me too, even though my NV4 kills faster at the ranges I was seeing him at. I would get straight on target, start firing, and then it would stop firing and I'd fall over with all his damage hitting me at once. Must just be a godly player on a godly connection right? Nope, he doesn't even average a kill per life, and his reactions and aim were awful. Yet in the killcam he had all the time in the world to drag his aim on to me, draw circles around me and kill me with ease.

I threw my controller and walked away. Not interested in playing until I stop dying to lies.

Not worth jeopardizing my health for a P.O.S game like Infinite Warfare.  Sorry folks, the R1 spoiled me!   :D

Try to put your connection under load. It worked for the half of a match and then the hitdetection shitted on me.  :D  :D  :D  Maybe it works for you.

Riotcontroll, I've noticed some improvement with games with what you just said, with my sliders set to 70 70 I get better games when the congestion control has something to do. when I have nothing but my xbox on it seems a little behind... strange

Lol yeah I've been playing with a clean line, nothing else using the connection. Maybe I'll try playing over wifi while I load up a stream on Twitch in the background

Okay I think I'm gonna cry.

Switched to WiFi, loaded up a Twitch stream in the background on my phone on the same WiFi band, jumped into a game of TDM on Genesis. Bear in mind I'm using the NV4, not usually the best choice weapon for close quarters...

45-6 with non lethals, 21 gun streak, 4 off the Deatomizer but died to a claw so can't really complain. Having no issues with shoot first die first.

Next game I'm 4 off a fast Deatomizer on Mayday, hear "enemy scorchers inbound", panic, head to the closest bit of cover which was at the back of the map in the little corner area, and the guy who called them in was hiding in there. He was hiding for a 1.1KD lmao

Next game they all camped up in corners on Genesis but I went 57-12 with non lethals.

I'm so done. I'm actually ANGRY.

I live in GA (US) and I've set my filter to cover the server around Michigan and Maine (approximately). CC set to 97%. All of my games have been on the Michigan server but never p2p since double xp weekend. The game has been playing like ghost since Friday. For me, ghost connection was flawless.

Also I have been playing on the server in New York and it's has played fantastic as well. I remember getting a kill where the enemy was actually looking and shooting in a direction I moved from. What kind of distance are you from these servers according to Netduma?

And what's the closest local dedi you would get?

Think I'm about 70 miles from the dedi I usually get put on.

For the most part it has been very good but a couple of evenings ago it was game after game of horror-show connections.

What are you guys finding works better for you in IW with your Dumas. Camping a server that isn't near you (that worked for me in BO3) or throttling your connection? (Which is somewhat working in this game for me) or a combination of both?

The servers I have been playing on are over 1100km away. The live on top of a server and the next one that is close is 300 or 400 away. I have not found success on those although I haven't played on them in awhile since playing on the ones farther away. I'm also able to play on the new York server which is usually horrendous. 70/70 both ways on CC as well
