Wifi dropping

After I had my netduma for 4-5 days the wifi started dropping randomly wifi work-around is disabled IPv6 is disabled, and I have followed all of the steps given on the support page for this and nothing has changed, every time it drops I have to unplug the router and plug it back in to get to work.

 

After it drops I can not log in to the routers control panel until I reboot it.

You need to download a wigi network prog that scans nearby networks as you may be using the same channel as another network.

Do wired devices also disconnect as well? 

 

Enable WiFi workaround as some people need it enabled.

 

Changed channel, security mode? Moved it away from any wireless devices? Is it near a microwave as that can disrupt the wireless signal.

I have already checked the channels and it is fine the next time it drops I'll see if wired devices disconnect, the security mode is WPA-PSK2.

I'll see what happens when I enable wifi work around, it is right beside a wireless laptop, the microwave is in the room beside it and it does disrupt the signal when it's turned on put the netduma drops even when the microwave is not on.

Do you have a lot of devices on your wifi?  I often have lots of devices on my wifi and notice that it often has problems when there is a lot of devices connected.  For this reason, I got an access point and disabled the Netduma wifi.  Since doing this, I have not experienced any wifi issues.

I do have a lot of devices but my arris modem router combos wifi is not that good

Move the wireless laptop away from it and see if that prevents the drops occurring.

Wired devices do work when it drops.

I have enabled wifi workaround and will repost if the WI-FI drops again

After I enabled wifi workaround it still drops but it seems that it does less frequently and I haven't had to reboot it because it will drop and then come back on its own within 20-30 seconds

i recommend buying a UAC-PRO-AC and just moving on, it will work with any router you ever own

You may try this if you haven't already. You may have a quality router laying around that you used prior to the netduma that may be used as an accesspoint. I have a router connected to my netduma in accesspoint mode to use the wireless capabilities only. I have wifi on the netduma turned off. And wifi workaround turned off. I have not had any issues with wifi drops.

Try a factory reset.

 

This cured my problems when I was struggling with this very issue and nothing else help cure the problem.

The only other router I have is a modem/router combo and the wifi is not that good on it

I just now tried it but now I can't download games or apps on my Xbox one

Were you connecting to WiFi with your Xbox before hand? If so the password is now "netdumar1". 

 

If not are you connected to the internet through the console?

I still having issues downloading games or apps, I have already changed the passphrase, my arris modem/router combo is doing the same thing so I'm thinking I might need to call my isp.

If you're having issues when directly connected to your Arris then sounds like you may need to yes. However, rebooting it should resolve the issue in most cases. Let us know how you get on.

Is there any chance that doing a factory reset on the netduma could have effected my arris

On both it is saying that Xbox live is unavailable when it's available and everything except downloads work fine other than a few problems with the friends list which fixes itself most of the time

Could UPnP not be working correctly

A factory reset will only effect the duma. It will not affect the Arris. I don't think UPnP would necessarily affect the downloads. If it's the same issue through the Arris there is something else going on. Did you reboot the Arris and still have the same issue?

I didn't think that would effect the arris but I have rebooted both and it has not changed anything

I'm starting to think it could because of a preview system update I got on that same day because their was a new update yesterday and it helped a little bit but it is still not acting right
