Slipknot31286sic6 Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 That's not good shouldn't auto reboot ever.
Alex49H Posted September 25, 2016 Author Posted September 25, 2016 It did it once this week or yesterday and sometime like last week or the week before.
ColonicBoom Posted September 25, 2016 Posted September 25, 2016 Could it be overheating? It should be ventilated and on a hard surface (not carpet) and not covered.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted September 26, 2016 Administrators Posted September 26, 2016 Common cause of rebooting is overheating as said above.
Alex49H Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 I had just moved it to on top of my desk when it rebooted. When you say ventilated do you mean the room or nothing around it?
Alex49H Posted September 26, 2016 Author Posted September 26, 2016 It is behind the monitor and I wasn't gaming or on the web.
ColonicBoom Posted September 27, 2016 Posted September 27, 2016 I had just moved it to on top of my desk when it rebooted. When you say ventilated do you mean the room or nothing around it? Yeh, just nothing around it really. Covering the vents, or under it that could insulate it, or in a cupboard with not much space (because it will kick out a little heat and then recirculate that heat). You don't need a fan to cool it or anything like that though. It is behind the monitor and I wasn't gaming or on the web. Ok, my screen kicks out some serious heat so perhaps it was overheating to some extent. But more likely is that you were just moving it, perhaps a slightly loose connection with the adaptor, maybe it wasn't seating fully. Check that adaptor is pushed right in - I had something similar happen only a few days ago because an adaptor wasn't. Either way, keep an eye on it but it's probably nothing to worry about.
