Dsl over virgin media

Whould people rather have a dsl line than virgin media and would it be better quality currently with virgin I would not mind leaving them I can not get any other fiber than virgin were I live

ADSL+2 is normally listed as up to 17ms nowadays because of offcom but in reality if you live close enough to the exchange it is up to 24mb

 

If you get on a provider that is not over subscribed then it should be fine.

 

I live 3 miles from my exchange and when I was on ADSL+2 I used to get 6/1 but I was happy as my pings were low and stable.

 

TalkTalk have a LLU presence in our exchange and they over provide so I never had any jitter issue as I don't now on their fibre product abut I have spoke to people that have so it is never cut and dry with any provider.

i left my 152/12 connection with virgin as they are not good for gaming by a country mile and i switched to BT for 80/20 i was quite happy to take a big drop in speeds but to be honest with you my connection now is far superior than it was with virgin and i am so glad i left.

 

 

i actually get 75 - 76 down and 19 up and a ping of 7ms........ditch virgin bud and step into the light and free yourself from those shackles and chains.......Virgin throttle their network and BT do not

I left 152/12 on Virgin for 28/7 on TT.

Couldn't be happier with it. I couldn't play anymore on Virgin without becoming a serious danger to myself and others.

I would love to leave them problem is I am a good way from the exchange so my dsl speeds would be realy low and lile I said I carnt get no fiber off anyone else at the min till BT pull there finger out
