hi there ppls

iv got the headset mentioned above and its teamed up with the astro mix amp pro on my ps4 everything was fine for a week now the mic is cutting out in party chat.

i have gone through the settings to set up the ps4 to the mix amp etc and checked that the firmware is upto date , i have also plugged the headset into the pad and the mic still cuts out so it cant be the mix amp.

anyone any ideas or tips ??.

cheers

By cutting out you mean you loose the chat ability but you can hear people still.

We get this if one or more party members do not have an open NAT have you checked for this before moving on to diagnose the devices?

by cutting out i mean the chat keeps breaking up i can hear them fine but my voice/chat keeps breaking up

I had that issue before and it was a bad cable (chat) coming from my mix amp to my headset, replaced it and haven't had an issue since.

Not saying this is your issue but might be worth checking into by wiggling the cable back and fourth while your talking and see if it changes anything. If it's working fine and you start wiggling it and it cuts out then that could be your issue.

But your headset might be wireless and if that case none of the above would apply... ;)

just as an after thought why the hell would you need the sound coming from your tv when your wearing a headset ?

You dont, either turn it off in the console's HDMI settings or turn your tv down haha.

I have the Sennheiser Game One headset and absolutely love it. Originally, I was using it with the Mixamp Pro TR. The sound quality was great but I had problems with the mic quality. My friends complained about the mic quality and it also broke up at times. As Z stated, this tended to happen when 1 or more party members had moderate NAT types. Sometimes unplugging the Mixamp and replugging it back up would solve the issue, but not always. Also, I don't know if it was placebo or not, but I found that I seemed to get better results turning on PS4 and getting BO3 fully up and running before I plugged in the Mixampro USB.

I had some extra money, so I subsequently replaced the Mixamp Pro TR with the Creative X7.

as iv only just got the mix amp im not keen on binning it straight away but ill try unplugging it next time and i play destiny i used to play blops3 but it got boring as every game was the same 3.2.1. start and rush rush rush rush the number of times i spawned just to get shot in the back due to the spawns being flipped every few seconds ...........

sorted now

for future reference

turn the amp off

shut down the ps4 into rest mode and the amp turns on again as it still seems to be getting a signal from the ps4 so im guessing it either builds up static or gets stuck in some sort of loop ?..

so either unplug the usb from the amp or the usb from the ps4.

thanks to the duma forum.

fingers crossed now iv posted this ...............
