Titanfall 2

I have played a bit today and quite enjoyed it, went back to TF1 the other day just to get a feel and have a comparison, this is much different and in someways seems better but some things need work.  I thought the maps were great and if the full version is like this they should have a winner.  I did think the guns were in need of some balancing and yes the lag was a factor.

All in all I was impressed.

I've been playing TF2 all weekend. My eyes turned scarlet. Never played Titanfall before.

Pros

+ Hit detection. AMAZING. No insta-deaths or WTF moments.

+ TDM (pilot vs pilot). Liked it. In a mysterious way, action places rotate aroud the map. Probably a well designed respawn system.

+ TTK relatively long. Getting shot from behind isn't 100% death. Thumbs up.

+ Free DLC. Sick and tired of paying for extra slots or rediculous box drops.

+ Enemy glowing is OK

Cons

- R201 AR dominates almost everything. No need to try other weapons.

- Roof top camping is an issue. Reminded me of Resistance Fall of Man MP (epic-epic-epic-epic)

- I miss the bullet impact sound effect of COD.  Is it patented or something? Can you patent a sound effect?

- A good perfomance reward is the Titan. For some reason I didn't feel like i want to use one. Boots on the ground felt better.

TF2 cannot compete with BF1 or COD IW, but it's fun and in my book a fun game is always a good purchase.

That is the hit marker sound the audible clicking in cod, I prefer it without though.

I play PVP exclusively and its been a load of fun, a definite purchase for that mode alone.

It was pretty bad Saturday - for me, but as someone else noted, an update fixed that and it played well Sunday.

I wish TF1 wasn't so laggy for me. It has always played terribly after the first few months. Hopefully that will no longer be a concern with TF2 on the horizon.

Well, I found a COD alternative. I'm definitely bying.

A couple of things I want to ask TF1 veterans.

- No suppressors in Pre-Alpha. Are there suppressors at all in TF1? If yes, do they work the same way as every other FPS? (no radar trace and reduced range/damage)

- In Pre-Alpha there was a list of available servers along with their ping value. Is this feature available in TF1? Does this make Geofilter redundant?

- I'm trying hard to love Titans. Is there a tutorial where I can find WTF am I doing when I'm in one of them? Are there any other modes except pvp w/o Titans?

- Is there a bar graph or a ping number in scoreboard in TF1?

Yes there is a suppressor in TF1 that work's like in other FPS

Yes it shows you a list of servers.

Bar graph not numbers.

Edit : Sorry its bar graph in game, numbers for the server.
