Anybody else experiencing lag issues on ps4 after the latest bo3 update? The game freezes for like a second and then continues to work fine again this happens like 2-3 times during a match. Everyones ping bars are fluctuating in some lobbies while some lobbies have full 4 bar connections. What is going on with their servers?

Yoow bro, everybody has the same problem. It is sad.. It is the new maps in combination with the servers because they get overloaded/ saturated.

If your settings where right before then they will be in a few days.

It's sad but true.

Play battlefield for a while it is way better with your connection. Bf4 I don't like but Battlefield Hardline is fun for me.

Have a good evening bro!

Grtz from Holland. Peace!!

The matchmaking is still horrible though. It keeps pulling me and other local players to EU dedis which can be a bad gaming experience for both middle east and EU players. If they fix this it can reduce overload on the servers and reduce lag as middle east players will be blocked from connecting to these dedis and can do p2p and get lower pings.

Looks like you're using PA exclusively. Put your home over the middle east where you've got all those circles. Strict on, PA 0 and that shouldn't happen.

When i do that it can take a very long time to find a match as all local hosts connect to dedis and i can't find good hosts so i set PA to around 75-80ms to get all servers under that ping and it works. I connect to France and Spain servers that give me around 65ms. The geo filter works with every other cod i have tested its only this game as the matchmaking is broken its not netdumas fault. I have no problem finding games with under 50ms on other cods.

I expect that the majority of players are connecting to the servers (rather than P2P).

Which would explain why, if you force P2P, you will find that the connections are a bit rough (P2P seems to be reserved for people with less-than-optimal connections.

I'm in the UK and I find that P2P games are pretty horrible usually, I've had one (literally just the one) that played very well but all of the others were unplayably laggy.

And they took quite a lot longer to find.

I gamed a ton this weekend on the PS4.  Some in a party with Bagsta and Fuzzy Clam (Friday I think) and then again all day on Saturday with Fuzzy Clam.  We played on the West Coast and we played in the Midwest, including getting thrown into a couple of games of P2P randomly.

I feel the PS4 connection and game play has come a LONG way since the first DLC drop.  I had moved back to the XB1 after the problems with the first DLC being auto installed and fucking up the matchmaking, so this weekend was the first time I got to experience the full double XP sweat and matchmaking.

I thought it played really well up until about 3:00 or so PM on the West Coast, we were playing Seattle.  At that point on Saturday Fuzzy and I both felt the connection was getting a little rough, so we switched from me hosting to him hosting.

All in all I feel the XB1 version plays better, even though the PS4 has come a long ways in game play.  I truly believe it's the other players who share the system that are causing the largest portion of the problems with this title.

On XB1 it's pretty rare that I see 5 or 6 guys limping into game with 2 and 3-bar connections.  There are always 1-2, but rarely is there half a team.

On the PS4 that is almost a given.  We had several lobbies where we ran into guys with a 2-bar who would make our character models jitter and stutter about when we were close to them in game, and killing them was a laughable experience of either: "Ha ha, how did I even hit that guy - I bet he is pissed" and "WTF - where did my bullets go?"

But when we got into lobbies where the majority of the players had decent enough internet to get to the dedicated box, we did really well.  We played several game types, including the new Fracture game mode, and we were able to represent well.

I personally believe that the PS3 being a free online service attracted people who wanted to play online and don't have the best internet, or the ability to upgrade it.  When the PS4 came out, people upgraded with what they knew.  Xbox 360 peeps bought XB1's and the PS3 people bought the PS4.

With them joining the PS4 revolution, came the crap internet they always gamed with and there was no requirement to switch it, so it's not on their radar.

Thus you have the "higher end" game with all the impressive frame rates and the beautiful color palette being played on tins cans and string with an old car battery attached to a bike on a stand for power.

The recipe itself is a disaster and this manifests itself with some bullshit moments in the game.

I had a good time this weekend and leveled up quite a few guns (8+) while still completing some of the weekly contract requirements and got two daily rewards in.

I think the PS4 version is playing a lot better now than it did a few months ago - but I still prefer the XB1 even though my closest dedicated bank is two states away.

Just as JD said the lobbies were full of questionable connections at best and the closer you get to those players the easier it was to see the advantage they had.I would describe it as playing against someone using with the ripper on crack combined with the commando lunge, some guys you just had no chance against.Almost made me feel like I was playing with my feet against them   :D

And had a blast by the way playing with JD and bags, always fun when gaming with friends.

I have never owned an XBOX but will be getting one when the S comes out in August as it will fill all my need strictly for gaming.I love my PS4 but if a certain system plays better for what ever reason and my gaming experience is better then I'll go with that system.I at least owe it to myself to find out if XBOX is better, worse or the same. And most of the lobbies I get into always have 3-6 people with shitty connections.I would guess there sitting in their local McDonalds with their PS4 and a monitor set up at a table and using their "free WIFI" to game,at least that's what it feels like... ;)

Another thing to consider is match making and player distances.  BO3 (and most CODs) try to match you with players that have the exact same map packs.  As each DLC is added, there are more combination of players with and without the various DLC map packs. Therefore, there are less players in each of the variations.  This will mean it takes longer to get players to fill the lobby and you will get players from further away.  As you connect with players further away, the game will often have more lag.

I have personally noticed this myself with each of the updates.  In the beginning of BO3, the players were very close to the host with the exception of party members that live further away.  As each of the DLC maps were added, I notice that the players are getting more and more spread out.

They should add disable dlc option. The good old mw3 had that option. why can't bo3 have it?

Absolutely agree.  Fortunately, we have a few friends that don't have any DLC maps.  They are our "option" to disable the DLC maps.  The player base seems to be greater for players without any DLC maps.

Spot on.

When it comes to matchmaking, I don't think the game knows what do do with players that have a fluctuating ping. I think that when you start searching for a game it should monitor your ping for a bit and then drop you into the relevant lobby (shit stability with shit), at the moment I expect it takes a snapshot of your ping and sometimes that results in people being rated with the wrong ping. If the matchmaking thinks your ping is about 70 because it happens to be spiking when it snapshots your connection but then in game your ping drops to 50ms you could well become 'unkillable' (would obviously work the other way at times).

I have no idea though, maybe it doesn't work like that at all.

This is basically my go-to after-game message that I send to a scrub that caused the single death I suffered in a game because he was skipping about and I couldn't shoot him. Not insulting enough to get another ban but enough to piss them off. Perfect :)

I think they do on Xbox, I don't have the DLC though so somebody would need to confirm. I'm sure you can delete the DLC content from the Xbox at least.

I have the digital copy so i deleted the game hoping that dlc will go away but i was wrong. When i reinstalled the game the first dlc got activated by itself 2 days later as it came in an update lol i was pissed about all the time i had to waste on this sh*t.
