Stro3579
I Have had this router for approx 6 months. I have found that I have better gaming without the R1. I have 100 dn 6 up internet. My settings are as follows for my best games. Upnp forwarding enabled multi casting snooping enabled cookies enabled turbo mode and super turbo mode enabled. My host filtering is set in Illinois, But I am in Alabama. Am I doing something wrong? I definitely would like to get the best out of this router. You should untick it and put the CC at 70/70. Super Turbo is only needed for Gigabit speeds, ie 900mb down/ 900mb up. Turbo can do 200mb down. fuzzy clam
Well if you live in Bama,I would put my home location back to where you actually live. The reason I say that is I live about 80 actually miles from the dedi bank in Illinois and they are not the best servers by a long shot.I actually get good games playing on the Bama,Georgia and Florida servers than playing on the Illinois bank. And I would set my GF to catch Alabama,Georgia and Florida and see how that goes for you.Along with FQ said untick Super Turbo as it does disable CC and is not needed for your speeds. Set sliders to 70/70 for starters Make sure strict is ticked Set PA to zero Reactive algorithm And make sure your on the latest firmware 1.03.6g ( should be at the bottom of your host filtering page) And find out what servers play better for you and try and stick to those, just remember there are lots of servers in the dedi banks.Pay attention to the ID's and play the ones that give you the best experience. Stro3579
Everything you have mentioned i have tried. I have had the Duma for 6 months and your post was my original set up. I have been making changes and trying stuff. My results for better gaming has been what I posted. Which means I am basically not using the r1. Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted July 14, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 14, 2016 First off, what settings is your Geofilter set to? Bad gaming usually means bad ping - the Geofilter can give you the best hosts for the best ping. Could you run a speed test, and what is your average ping when in a game using the Netduma? Do you get a lot of jitter? Also, make sure your console is in hyper traffic; and try out one of our profiles (Perhaps COD Ultimate) and see if that helps. Dillinger
I'm sorry but I don't really have enough information to weigh in on this one at the moment, but I am happy to check back. Personally, understanding how the Duma is set up and what it provides your home network, I would find it hard to believe for me to have better games without it. It just couldn't happen because I have a busy home network. The ability to allow the wife to surf/stream/shop all she wants WHILE I am gaming, and having Hyper Lane for my gaming packets, is just the tip of a much larger iceberg. There are profiles to try. CoD ultimate has given me some great game play on both the PS4 and the XB1 editions. Then again, what I consider good may be light years different from yours, but I don't have anything to measure against. There are servers in your area that I have played with Fuzzy Clam above and have had good game play on Blops 3. What game are you on by the way? And what platform? Or are you on PC? More info would probably help the guys help you.

II N3MES1S II
There is no way you get better games without the duma, you will get put into lobbies with players farther away which leads to higher ping. You might be benefiting from lag compensation but nothing else. Sorry you are having what looks to be trouble using the duma but I would advise to connect that sucker and try again. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted July 15, 2016 Administrators Share Posted July 15, 2016 Are you looking at the ping on the duma or on the in game ping monitor? Speed test and ping test showing different is weird. I would imagine speed test is more accurate given that you wouldn't be able to get pings under your base ping. So with 25ms base and 33-50ms ping actually makes sense for your connection. Regardless can you post the screenshots from here please: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=lag_support_instructions

brutus209
When I first got my netduma, I was constantly making changes, tweaking this changing that etc... I started having bad games, and it seemed like the netduma wasn't doing anything, maybe even making my games worse. I did a factory reset, set the duma for cod ultimate profile, and haven't touched it in over a month. I have been consistently getting great games since. The only change I made was setting my home over the Los Angeles dedi server, as that is where I get the beastly games!! My thoughts are that I changed so many things so many times, messing around with throttling, bufferbloat and all that nonsense, I got it out of whack, and it need to be reset and start fresh. I am not an expert, and I am just sharing my opinion on what worked for me, you might want to check with one of the Duma Pros here if a factory reset is a good idea. Netduma Staff Netduma Jack Posted July 19, 2016 Netduma Staff Share Posted July 19, 2016 Thanks for that, but you've only provided a small selection of the screenshots we need. Also, we'd recommend never having Super Turbo mode ticked for any reason on your speeds; it's completely unnecessary and will only hinder your performance. From these though, everything seems perfect; so we need those other screenshots.

smackdaddy12
I must say that I've become increasingly disappointed with my R1 as well. I've had it for about 6 months too and thought it was the best thing since sliced bread when i got it; it seemed to work great. Here for about the last 1.5 months though I do much better in Black Ops3 without it and to the extent I've reinstalled my NetGear WNDR3700. I'm running the latest firmware on R1 and have actually reset it to factory defaults and then followed the optimal settings guides. It got really bad here a few weeks ago and would say that only 1 of every 15 games I get into is even playable. Meaning that I can keep up with my score average SPM of 340. I don't know what's changed recently, except new updates for BO3 by Activision, but most of the time I'm always one step or a split second behind everyone.....really bad! I've tried every configuration to no avail but sure wish there was something that could be done.
