Advice on new setup

Recommended Posts

Hi Everyone

Is there any way I can use the extended wifi range of my modem and let the Netduma control all access? Or another alternative suggestions on how I can do this?

Also I am about to be connect to the Australian NBN Fibre network. Can I use the netduma as my main modem then? Or will I still need an additional Modem to connect?

Thanks for your help!

You will use the modem given to you by your ISP and connect it to port one on the duma via Ethernet cable.

Using the duma's WiFI for things like phones and tablets and wire your PC/Console via Ethernet to the duma for gaming.

See Zennon's advice above. If the issue is that the R1 doesn't broadcast WiFi as far as your hub then I would recommend getting a WiFi extender. If you used WiFi on the hub then congestion control on the duma would not work correctly.

yeah that why I want the Netduma to control all my devices. I want the congestion control to monitor and restrict all the devices while gaming. Is there any brand Wifi extenders that you recommend that work well with the router?

Thanks for the advise guys :-)

Don't really have any recommendations but any one should work in theory. Glad we could solve your issue, let us know if you have any more problems.
