Refund please or help fix problem

OK so i have virgin media 200/12, i did a network test on net duma and get exceptional on spikes and good on everything else. My ping is low on the BF4 EU servers which i find using the server browser. They have been low even on my ISP router. My problem is hit detection which was inconsistent on my ISP router and it feels the EXACT same on the net duma, not even 1% different. I got my PS4 on hyper traffic and im using congestion control which in my opinion doesn't even matter because when i set it to 5% i get same hit detection to when i set it to 85% so thats pointless. Got 75/75 on anti flood but tried different numbers but they make no changes. i just need good hit detection on BF4, ive tried everything. in BF4 ping doesnt even matter, u can have 100 ping and kill in 4 bullets and have 15 ping and shoot whole mags into people and they just sponge ! I just got this router for BF4 and it doesnt work, all i see on the forums is about cod and destiny etc and how good the geo filter is ( useless in BF4 because of server browser ) so for BF4 this router isnt all that special and thats the game i play lol.  P.S My other thread was just igmored and got no response for days so made a new one.

There are multiple variables at play here that need addressing and the router doesn't magically make everything perfect, it's a science!

I haven't seen you once mention if you're using Premeptive or Reactive...

Read up on how to use Ping Plotter (Google it and it's free to download and use), have a look if there are issues from your ISP's end (I hear bad things about Virgin anyway) or the provided modem/router may have a fault, who knows for sure, you may have some serious packet loss one (or more) of the HOPS or it could be something less troublesome like a loose connector somewhere.

These variables and possibly more will not be known in regards to your connection until looked into further.

I think you may be misunderstanding the purpose of congestion control - it is to ensure that your home's connection is not causing you any issues i.e. queuing/lag caused by downloads etc. As long as it's keeping your ping stable it is doing it's job. You may have gotten use to it by now but trust me, go back to your old router and have someone download, you'd quickly realise how poorly that would affect your game. I usually recommend 70/70 anti-flood.

Ping definitely matters in any game, the lower the ping the more of an 'advantage' you have. It sounds to me like the router probably is doing it's job and there is another factor at play here. What does the internet diagnosis say your ping is? What is your ping to these servers? Are they huge 64 player games you're playing? Is it better if you play a smaller game, say 24 player?

your best bet is to get rid of virgin (seriously i am not joking) as it has a very poor track record for gaming. I had been with them for 20 years up until this december when i switched to BT infinity 2. Although bt is 80down and 20 up it outperforms virgins 200/12 by a country mile as i had that! Honestly when it comes to gaming virgin are pants.......also it is all about ping, ping is king in gaming also!

If you are using virgins latest modem (the white 1) it had issues since it's launch and still does.
