SolariPicasso
Greetings, I am having a specific issue where my NetDuma hard wired speed is usually 75% that of my Regular Cable Router/Modem. I have been using the product for a few months but remain unconvinced that is actually works at all. I know the congestion control works especially when trying to party up with people on XboxOne - Usually can't hear some of the people in the party, or often time connect to them, even when I set the range to all of North America. I have followed all of the tuning guides and scoured these forums for any scintilla of information to fix this issue. I will reboot the Both my cable modem/router and my NetDuma. Initially I get the 20/1.5 (yeah I know it's slow but it's all they offer) but within minutes the NetDuma goes to 10MBPS/750KBPS, meanwhile the cable box stays at 20/1.5 I have disabled wireless on the cable box, all of my devices are using the NetDuma. Again I have followed all of the guides and tips. I believe the product works for some people. I have a friend who also is experiencing similar issues, and it was this shared experience that has led me to posting this issue. I have the latest update (which was already on the product when I received it). 1.036g. Is there anything to be done? I am ready to sell the unit if I can't get this resolved. Cheers. RedBull2k
Have you disabled ipv6 in lan and wan settings, Miscellaneous settings > turned off deep packet processing, turn on turbo mode reset distribution in congestion control and also set algorithm to reactive also leave the sliders at 100%
ColonicBoom
Have you disabled ipv6 in lan and wan settings, Miscellaneous settings > turned off deep packet processing, turn on turbo mode reset distribution in congestion control and also set algorithm to reactive also leave the sliders at 100% And leave 'shared' checked/ticked, for upload AND download. You say "within minutes", is this after you have moved further away on wireless (or are you connected through ethernet)? Or is someone else using the network? Or is this second test while you are running something on another device? Or after you have applied a different gaming profile or changed any settings at all? RedBull2k
i would have said that also, but thought resetting distribution will leave 'shared' checked/ticked
ColonicBoom
i would have said that also, but thought resetting distribution will leave 'shared' checked/ticked You're right, resetting it does also reset the 'shared' setting as well. Doh!
PharmDawgg
Also what manfacturer/brand of modem are you using? Some cable modem with broadcom chips do not work well with the R1.
SolariPicasso
Thanks for all of the replies. The tests were done by switching between the NetDuma Wifi and Cable box Wifi (Just for this test). The Modem is a "Pace" Manufacturer Pace Plc Model 5268AC Hardware Version 260-2173300 Software Version 10.5.3.527171-att Piece of Junk in my book, but it is my 4th modem. I have tried all of the Tips and Tricks, Settings etc. I am truly at the end.
SolariPicasso
I removed my iMac frm the Router Wifi. I read somewhere that Macs *SUCK* the will to live out of the Wifi interface with incessant polling. I am now getting better speed, will update if this holds true.
