Call Of Duty Infinite Warfare - THE COD COMMUNITY NEEDS TO CHILL!!!!

Amen Trakky!  I said something very similar to this but probably not as tactfully in chat earlier today.   Exactly right, the community is just gonna moan but needs a massive chill pill.  As you said, It's just a game!   I think so many think the game should be what they want it to be; but it's not our vision - it's the developers.  And I for one am very excited to see what the vision is.  Even if it has boost - cause it's just a game.

Glad you agree mate nobody is forced to buy or play this game I think the complaining side of things is getting a  little out of hand and people have lost sight of the great nights and friendships worldwide this franchise has built over the years

Activison and IW did a live-stream a few hours after the reveal trailer and here is what they had to say (condensed):

-MP settings and campaign will span our solar system e.g. from Earth to Mars

-The main enemy is the story line are humans, not aliens

-The Earth is dying and needs resources from other planets to survive

-This will be IW's first crack at Zombies

-Zombies is a stand-alone universe and does not connect with the Campaign (might even be set in the past? '80s, '90s?)

-There will be *some* aerial combat like in the Campaign, but the emphasis will still be on Boots on the Ground (even on Mars, etc).

The irony is CoD:IW is more Star Wars: Battlefront than the real SW:BF is at this point :P

Judging from past campaign trailers if you're experienced enough you will see more or less what's that you're getting yourself into the MP, it's a good chance that you going to have boosting of some kind of which a lot of COD vet don't want anymore.

Reality is not "everyone" who plays cod were around in the so called golden era many are speaking as if they are the voice of everyone I think what has been done is a great compromise for fans old and new but the focal point is that this a business to make money they will more than likely do cod4 as a stand alone game when the initial hype has died down but cod 4 is an old year old game people are clinging on to something that in honesty mind not be all that good anymore ever watch a remade film and you were left disappointed after I know I have

I quite like the look of this new one actually...

And while I agree that CoD4 is an old(ish) game, nobody can argue with that, it's not so old that it's concept is outdated - not everything has to be set in the future with exo-suits and frickin' laserbeams in space now.

There are plenty of futuristic shooters already, with mechs and exo-suits and space and stuff like that - people that want a normal 'realistic' modern warfare CoD are entitled to complain because we haven't had one on this generation console. This will be the third futuristic one in a row.

I'll still buy this one but I would prefer it if it were running, jumping, shooting (and maybe sliding too) but not necessarily flying through space with a camp talking robot poking out of the arse of my spacesuit firing laser-guided photon douche-pedos out of his helmet-mounted rocket-dildo-canon.

As I said, I'll still buy it though. And I like BO3.

Exactly.  They have tried to please everyone.  If anyone is still complaining it might be time to change hobbies to golf or knitting cause they'll never be happy with anything that has to do with CoD.

I'm looking forward to it too and that's just because I don't really like BO3.

But the real reason is I get to drag JD thru the game and listen to him scream at me about being an idiot for liking this game. And that my friends is what friendship is all about... ;)

I as everyone else would just like a game that plays decent, without a tremendous amount of bullshit.Yeah it's gonna be an old engine, yeah there gonna make money on SD's and yeah not everyone is gonna like it...just like every other COD title for the last 6-7 years. It's a new title and I'll still buy it and play it.

The main reason i play the game is because of the bond I've built with my mates over the years on it it not playing the game equals sacrificing my friendships which will not be done every cod that has come out i have played near enough its full life cycle this is only the second game coming out of the 3 year development cycle i believe it'll be a fantastic game

every game in question has its pro's and con's I think they've tried to please a community that can't be pleased anyway

totally true, some will be happy with every new CoD and some will be pissed with every new CoD - i'm closer to the first option.

It may be very sad to admit but I love the start of November knowing that CoD is days away!

The main reason I play is because I can't get hold of C4 at B&Q ;)

But yes, CoD has massively influenced the people I play online with - far more than any game ever will.

I have no desire to buy COD:IW especially after one of the morons at Infinityward said they didn't care what anybody said, they were making a COD in Space, I only hope Activision give these idiots a hard kick up the ass.

Fire all of them and put developers in their places that appreciate their consumer base and literally put food on their tables.

COD deserves to suffer for this kind of behavior and I'd prefer DICE with Battlefield taking the FPS crown than InfinityBored.

I don't think anyone needs to chill, people need to not buy this Battlestar Galactica rubbish.

No wonder the IW head honcho who left Respawn to come and lead development on this disaster actually left and went back to Respawn.
